Iran sentences blogger to 20 years of prison

Human Rights Activists in Iran :
Sakhi Rigi, a blogger from Baluchistan who was also a member of Mir Hossein Moussavi’s election staff during the 2009 presidential elections was sentenced to 20 years of prison by the Zahedan Revolutionary Court.
According to reports, he is serving his prison term in exile in the Karoun Prison in Ahwaz.
This Baluch civil rights activist was arrested by plainclothes agents on June 18, 2009 in his car in a street near Zahedan University.
He was transferred to the Central Zahedan Prison after being detained in a solitary cell in the Zahedan Intelligence Agency for 70 days. He was transferred to Karoun Prison three months ago and was sentenced to 20 years of prison on charges of acting against national security and propagating against the government.
This 31 year old computer software student was also denied the right to continue his education even as he only had to study for two more semesters to graduate.
There are no other reports on why he was sentenced to 20 years of prison but it seems that the contents of his weblog were considered as security charges.

محکوميت يک وبلاگ نويس بلوچ به ۲۰ سال حبس تعزيري

سخي ريگي وبلاگ نويس بلوچ و عضو ستاد انتخاباتي مهندس مير حسين موسوي از سوي دادگاه انقلاب زاهدان به بيست سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شده است.

بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، نويسنده وبلاگ بلوچستان سرفراز دوران محکوميت خود در زندان کارون اهواز و در تبعيد تحمل مي‌کند.

اين فعال مدني بلوچستان در جريان انتخابات سال ۱۳۸۸ و در روز ۲۸ خرداد ماه‌‌ همان سال در خيابان دانشگاه زاهدان در حالي که سوار بر اتوموبيل شخصي خود بود توسط نيروهاي لباس شخصي بازداشت شد.

وي پس از تحمل ۷ ماه حبس در سلول‌هاي انفرادي اداره اطلاعات زاهدان به زندان مرکزي اين شهر منتقل و از سه ماه پيش تا کنون در زندان کارون اهوار به تحمل ۲۰ سال زندان به اتهام اقدام عليه امنيت ملي، تبليغ عليه نظام محکوم شده است.

اين دانشجوي ۳۱ ساله رشته نرم افزار دانشگاه علمي کاربردي به دليل بازداشت توسط وزارت اطلاعات از تحصيل در دانشگاه بازمانده است اين در حالي است که تنها دو ترم براي فارغ از تحصيلي وي باقي مانده بود.

از ديگر اتهامات اين وبلاگ نويس که منجر به صدور ۲۰ سال حبس تعزيري در تبعيد شده است اطلاعي در دست نيست اما بنظر مي‌رسد مطالب منتشر شده در وبلاگ ايشان نيز مصداق جرم امنيتي تشخيص داده شده است. (هرانا – 16/3/90)

In a news conference on Tuesday, Ahmad-Reza Radan announced the start of the plan to deal with improper veiling and noise pollution.
The Assistant Commander of the State Security Forces said, “Women and men wearing tight clothes, hair revealing scarves, short coats, repulsive clothes and men who bear the logos of pervasive or devil worshipping groups are all the hallmarks of improper clothing and they will be dealt with. Also all clothes production centers, whether they have a permit or are underground, have been identified and have been warned about producing [improper] clothing. From June 15, if they produce or distribute [clothes] the Public Places Department will deal with them”.
Radan also noted that special police on motorcycles, traffic police and SSF police will be stationed in highways and boulevards and said, “Car drivers that do not follow the [dress code] will be dealt with and their cars will be impounded for one week”.
“The improperly veiled people will be handed over to the Moral Security Police and after receiving guidance and council, their [names] will be registered in the SSF Intelligence Bank and they will have a record”.
He also said that from June 15, people who have dogs in their cars or walk their dogs in the streets and parks will be dealt with.

جانشين فرماندهي نيروي انتظامي: تشديد برخورد با بد پوششي از 25 خرداد/ بدحجابها سابقه دار مي شوند

سردار احمدرضا رادان روز سه شنبه در نشست خبري از آغاز تشديد طرح برخورد با بدپوششي و آلودگي صوتي در کشور خبر داد..

جانشين فرماندهي ناجا ادامه داد: لباس تنگ براي زنان و مردان، روسريهايي که از دو طرف موي زنان پيدا باشد، مانتوهاي کوتاه، لباسهاي زننده و نمادهايي که نشان دهنده جريانهاي انحرافي و گروههاي شيطان پرستي است براي مردان جزء ملاکهاي بدپوششي بوده که با آنها برخورد مي شود. همچنين تمامي توليد کنندگان و توزيع کنندگان داراي مجوز و زيرزميني که در حوزه پوشاک فعال هستند شناسايي شده و در مورد توليد البسه زننده به آنها اخطار داده شده است. از 25 خرداد به بعد در صورت توليد يا توزيع اداره اماکن با آنها برخورد مي کند.

سردار رادان از حضور تيمهاي ويژه موتور سوار، راهنمايي و رانندگي و انتظامي در بزرگراهها و بلوارها خبر داد و افزود: با خودروهايي که راننده يا سرنشينان آن حجاب را رعايت نکنند برخورد کرده و خودرو به مدت يک هفته توقيف و افراد بدحجاب به پليس امنيت اخلاقي منتقل شده و پس از ارشاد و مشاوره سوابق آنها در بانک اطلاعاتي نيروي انتظامي به عنوان سابقه انتظامي لحاظ مي شود.

وي گفت: از 25 خرداد حتي با افراديکه در داخل خودرو يا در کوچه و خيابان و پارکها اقدام به سگ گردي مي کنند هم برخورد مي شود. (خبر گزاري مهر – 17/3/90)

Human rights activist sentenced to 3 years of prison

The prison sentence for human rights activist and blogger Abdolreza Ahmadi who was arrested on March 3, 2010 was upheld by the court of review and his three year prison term was finalized.
According to reports, before this, the 26th branch of the Revolutionary Court presided over by Judge Pir Abbasi sentenced him to three years of prison on charges of acting against national security and instigating public opinion by being a member of the Human Rights Activists in Iran Organization and cooperating with the One-Million Signature Campaign [group striving for a change in the misogynous constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran].

محکوميت قطعي يک فعال حقوق بشر به حبس

محکوميت عبدالرضا احمدي، وبلاگ نويس و فعال حقوق بشر که در ۱۲ اسفند ۸۸ با يورش سازمان يافته به فعالان حقوق بشري بازداشت شده بود از سوي دادگاه تجديد نظر استان به سه سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شد.

بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، پيش‌تر شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب به رياست قاضي پير عباسي وي را به اتهام اقدام عليه امنيت ملي و تشويش اذهان عمومي از طريق عضويت در مجموعه فعالان حقوق بشر در ايران و همکاري با کميپن يک ميليون امضا به سه سال حبس تعزيري محکوم نموده بود. (هرانا – 17/3/90)

Two death row political activists denied visitation rights

Human Rights Activists in Iran :
The family and relatives of Zaniar and Loqman Moradi, two political prisoners in cellblock 4, Hall 12 in Rajayi Shahr Prison who were sentenced to death by Judge Salavati, have no information about their condition.
Loqman Moradi’s father said that he has not been able to see his son for four weeks and in light of the fact that the phone lines have been cut off in the security cellblock in Rajayi Shahr Prison, he has no news on his condition.
He has gone to the Rajayi Shahr Prison twice in the past month but officials told him that Loqman Moradi has been banned from visits until further notice.
His father said that his sentence is currently under review.
Zaniar Moradi’s aunt also said that since the time he was transferred to a prison in Karaj, she has not been able to see him.
In light of the fact that Zaniar’s family members do not live in Iran, his relatives are trying to visit him in prison.
She said that the Assistant Head of Rajayi Shahr Prison told her some time ago when she went to prison to visit her nephew that she has no right to visit him and that it is better she not go see the judge because she might be arrested and jailed herself.
Mrs. Moradi also said that her nephew’s lawyer, Hassan Paidar, has also not been able to see his client.

هرانا؛ عدم اجازهٔ برقراري تماس تلفني و يا ملاقات به زانيار و لقمان مرادي

خانواده و بستگان زانيار و لقمان مرادي، دو تن از زندانيان سياسي محبوس در بند ۴، سالن ۱۲ (معروف به بند امنيتي) زندان رجايي شهر کرج، که از سوي قاضي صلواتي به اعدام محکوم شده‌اند، مدت هاست که از وضعيت ايشان بي‌خبرند.

پدر لقمان مرادي در گفتگو با گزارشگر هرانا گفت که بيش از ۴ هفته است موفق به ملاقات با فرزند خود نشده و با توجه به قطعي تلفن‌هاي بند امنيتي زندان رجايي شهر، از وضعيت وي هيچ اطلاعي ندارد.

وي در طي يک ماه اخير دو بار به زندان رجايي شهر کرج مراجعه کرده اما مسئولان گفته‌اند که لقمان مرادي تا اطلاع ثانوي ممنوع الملاقات است.

پدر اين زنداني سياسي در ادامه افزود که پروندهٔ لقمان مرادي کماکان در مرحلهٔ تجديد نظرخواهي ست.

در همين زمينه عمهٔ زانيار مرادي نيز به گزارشگر هرانا گفت از زماني که وي به کرج منتقل شده است، با او ملاقاتي نداشته است.

با توجه به اينکه بستگان درجه يک زانيار مرادي در ايران سکونت ندارند، ديگر بستگان وي براي ملاقات با اين زنداني سياسي اقدام مي‌کنند.

وي خاطر نشان کرد که معاون زندان رجايي شهر کرج چندي پيش در پي مراجعت ايشان به زندان جهت ملاقات و تحويل برخي وسايل ضروري به زانيار، گفته است که شما به هيچ عنوان حق ملاقات نداريد و بهتر هست که نزد قاضي هم نرويد چرا که احتمال دارد خودتان هم به زندان بيفتيد.

خانم مرادي افزود وکيل برادر زاده‌اش، حسن پايدار، اهل مريوان، نيز تاکنون موفق به ملاقات با وي نشده و نسبت به وضعيت موکلش از ايشان بي‌خبر‌تر است. (هرانا – 17/3/90)

SSF will deal with ‘improperly veiled tourists’ in ongoing suppressive measure

“Men who wear inappropriate shirts or use special necklaces will also be arrested along with improperly veiled women”, he said…
“Those who wear short pants, short and tight coats, thin and narrow shawls [to cover the hair] and those who resemble models will be dealt with and the plan to counter those who are improperly veiled also includes tourists. We have announced this issue to travel agencies and have told them to inform tourists about our laws.
We have never said that improper clothes are only limited to women. We also have improperly dressed and attired men. But the number of improperly dressed men is much lower than women and therefore, dealing with improperly veiled men is our second priority”, the Tehran Police Chief added.

برخورد نيروي انتظامي با توريست هاي بدحجاب

يکي دو هفته اي هست که گشت هاي پليس براي مبارزه با بدحجابي در شهر ديده مي شود و البته تاکنون برخوردهايي مانند گذشته ديده نشده. اما خبر مي رسد پليس برنامه هاي جديدي براي بدحجابي دارد.

سردار حسين ساجدي نيا، رييس پليس تهران معتقد است اين طرح در تمام سال اجرا مي شود...

"در کنار زنان بدحجابۀ مرداني هم که از پيراهن‌‏هاي نامناسب و از آويزهاي ويژه اي با عنوان گردنبند استفاده مي کنند هم دستگير مي شوند."..

Archive: Police arrest woman for so-called 'improper veiling'

استفاده از شلوارکوتاه، مانتوهاي کوتاه و بدن ‌‏نما، شال‌‏هاي باريک و داشتن ظاهري مانکن گونه از مصداق هاي برخورد پليس با بدحجابان است. همچنين طرح برخورد با بدحجابان شامل توريستها هم مي شود. به آژانسهاي مسافرتي اين موضوع را اعلام کرديم تا قوانين ما را به توريستها اعلام کنند.

هيچ جا نگفتيم بد پوششي محدود به زن‌ها‌ست. مردان بد پوشش و بد آرايش هم داريم. ولي تعداد مردان بدپوشش بسيار کم‌تر از زن‌ها‌ست به همين خاطر مقابله با بدحجابي مردها در زمره اولويت‌هاي بعدي ما‌ست. (سايت خبرآنلاين – 16/3/90)

Firdousi Univ. students protest rape and beating of female student in univ. campus under strict suppressive measures in university

Following the rape and beating of a female Firdousi University student in this university, hundreds of students gathered and chanted slogans voicing their protest over this incident demanding an answer from university officials and the resignation of relevant officials.
According to reports, on the night of June 5, a female student was raped after being beaten inside the university campus…
Most protesters have pointed their fingers at the Protection Department [charged with implementing the strict laws of the Islamic Republic of Iran in universities] for this tragedy and have said that in light of the strict measures implemented by the Protection Department against students including the hidden security cameras all over the university campus, how is it possible that no preparation has been carried out to prevent such an incident in the university.
Notably, the Firdousi University Protection Department is more sensitive on the relationship between the opposite sexes than any other university [in Iran] and uses security cameras to monitor students and the students’ protest gatherings.
Groups of students who were looking to get more information about the attack and intended to meet the victim’s friends and eye witnesses realized that this student’s friends were sent off to their own towns [by university or security officials].
Notably, none of the student representatives sent to the hospital to visit the beaten student were allowed to see her and they were asked to make the attack seem like a simple robbery.

ضرب و شتم و تجاوز به دانشجوي دختر دانشگاه فردوسي مشهد و اعتراض دانشجويان

شب گذشته پس از آن که يکي از دانشجويان دختر ورودي ۸۶ دانشگاه فردوسي مشهد در داخل دانشگاه مورد «ضرب و شتم» و «تجاوز» قرار گرفت، صدها تن از دانشجويان اين دانشگاه از شب گذشته تجمع کرده و با سردادن شعارهاي اعتراضي خواستار پاسخگويي و استعفاي مسئولين زيربط شده‌اند.

به گزارش دانشجونيوز، شامگاه ۱۵ خرداد ۹۰ طي يک اتفاقي تلخ و دردناک يکي از دانشجويان دختر دانشگاه فردوسي مشهد پس از ضرب‌وشتم مورد تجاوز نيز قرار گرفته است...

در ادامه اين گزارش آمده است، بيشتر اين معترضان حراست را مسئول اين فاجعه دانسته‌اند چرا که با توجه به سخت گيريهاي بيش از حد حراست دانشگاه بر عليه دانشجويان و نصب دوربينهاي مخفي در جاي جاي محيط اين دانشگاه چطور مي‌شود تمهيداتي براي اين فاجعه ي وحشتناک انديشيده نشده و چگونه چنين حادثه‌اي در دانشگاه رخ داده است.

لازم به ذکر است که حراست دانشگاه فردوسي بيش از هر دانشگاه ديگر بر روابط دختر و پسر حساس است و از دوربينهاي مجهزي براي کنترل روابط و هم‌چنين تجمعات دانشجويان استفاده مي‌کنند، که بر اساس اين گزارش اين رفتار متناقض حراست بر خشم دانشجويان افزوده است.

هم‌چنين، گروههايي که در پي کسب اطلاع از صحت‌وسقم اخبار رسيده از دانشجوي قرباني قصد ملاقات با دوستان وشاهدان ماجرا را داشتند با بسته بودن اتاق اين دانشجو مواجه شده و متوجه شده‌اند که دوستان اين دانشجوي قرباني در ايام امتحانات به شهرهاي محل سکونت خويش فرستاده شدند.

لازم به ذکر است که هيچ يک از نمايندگان دانشجويان که براي ملاقات با دانشجوي مضروب به بيمارستان امدادي کامياب توسط خود مسولين فرستاده شدند اجازه ملاقات داده نشده و از آنها خواسته شده در يک حرکت هماهنگ ماجرا را يک سرقت ساده جلوه دهند... (دانشجو نيوز – 16/3/90)

Female political prisoner in critical condition denied treatment

According to reports, political prisoner Zahra Jabari who was arrested during a protest gathering in 2009 is in critical condition and suffers from severe pain at nights.
Despite the recommendations of the medical commission, no measures have been taken to transfer this political prisoner to the hospital.
This is while she is suffering from a severe heart condition and rheumatism. She went into a coma in April in prison and was transferred to the hospital but was returned to Evin Prison after a few days.
Jabari is 36 and is the mother of one child. She is serving her four year prison term.

وضعيت وخيم جسماني زهرا جباري در زندان

به گزارش منابع آگاه، زهرا جباري از بازداشت شدگان روز قدس سال ۱۳۸۸هم اکنون در وضعيت وخيم جسماني به سر مي‌برد، به طوري که شب‌ها درد بسيار شديدي را در بدن خود احساس مي‌کند.

همچنين گزارشهاي رسيده حاکي از آن است که، علي رغم نظر کميسيون پزشکي، هنوز هيچ اقدامي نسبت به انتقال اين زنداني سياسي به بيمارستان، انجام نشده است.

اين در حالي است که وي از ناراحتي حاد قلبي و رماتيسم شديد رنج مي‌برد، به طوري که در فروردين ماه گذشته پس از اينکه در زندان به کما فرو رفته بود به بيمارستان منتقل شد، اما پس از چند روز مجددا به زندان اوين بازگردانده شد.

زهرا جباري، ۳۶ ساله و داراي يک فرزند است که هم اکنون دوران ۴ ساله محکوميت خود را در زندان سپري مي‌کند. (كميته گزارشگران حقوق بشر – 16/3/90)
