Iran bans state-run daily for publishing banned interview

Elias Hazrati [the editor in chief of the E’temad Newspaper] said, “E’temad Daily was banned after publishing an interview with Ali-Akbar Javanfekr”.
“On the night of Saturday November 19, it was announced that the newspaper was temporarily banned for publishing an interview with Ali-Akbar Javanfekr, the head of the Iran Media Institution and the Media Advisor to President Ahmadinejad”, he said.
“We told the printing press not to print the newspaper and we were [the newspaper] not in the newsstands today”.
“We had edited parts of the interview but it was still not accepted”, he said expelling the reason behind the ban...
This daily was temporarily closed on March 1, 2010 on orders of the Media Supervision Board for ‘going beyond journalistic borders’, but E’temad was once again published in May 2011 and now after five months, it has been closed once more.

مهر: الياس حضرتي گفت: «روزنامه اعتماد به دليل چاپ گفت‌وگويي با علي‌اکبر جوانفکر توقيف شد.»

مديرمسئول روزنامه اعتماد ضمن تاييد اين خبر گفت: «شنبه شب ۲۸ آبان به ما اعلام شد روزنامه به دليل چاپ گفت‌وگويي با علي‌اکبر جوانفکر سرپرست موسسه مطبوعاتي ايران و همچنين مشاور رسانه‌اي محمود احمدي‌نژاد رئيس‌جمهور توقيف موقت شده است.»

وي ادامه داد: «ديشب ما به چاپخانه اعلام کرديم که روزنامه را چاپ نکند و امروز هم روي کيوسک نبوديم.»

اين فعال رسانه‌اي در توضيح گفت‌وگويي که باعث تعطيلي اعتماد شده، بيان کرد: «ما بخش‌هايي از آن گفت‌وگو را حذف کرده بوديم، ولي تا همين حد هم مورد قبول واقع نشده است.»...

اين روزنامه پيش از اين دهم اسفند ۱۳۸۸ نيز به دستور هيئت نظارت بر مطبوعات توقيف موقت شده بود که علت توقيف «تخلف از حدود مطبوعات» و تکرار و اصرار بر تخلفات قانوني اعلام شده بود، ولي اعتماد خردادماه سال جاري بار ديگر منتشر شد و حال پس از ۵ ماه بارديگر توقيف موقت شده است. (عصر ايران – 29/8/90)
