A number of students at the University of Allameh Tabataba’i (ATU) remembered their imprisoned professor Arab Mazar today by sticking flowers to the door of his office and leaving messages of support.
According to Mir-Hossein Mousavi’s official website Kaleme, on the occasion of national teachers’ day in Iran, students at ATU paid their respect to their imprisoned professor who also happens to be a senior advisor of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi.
Mazar was arrested shortly after the demonstration of December 27, along with a number of Mousavi’s senior advisors and spent three months in solitary confinement.
It should be noted that after the end of their classes, Mazar’s students decided to pay a visit to his family and to show their support during these tough times.

Female political prisoners protest being kept with criminals
According to reports, political prisoners in the women's section in Evin Prison held a sit-in outside the office of the head of this section and demanded that prison regulations that state that prisoners have to be segregated in respect of their crimes be carried out.
The head of the block, Rezayi, threatened them saying that the prosecutor has to order the segregation. These prisoners announced that they will continue their protest until their demands are met. In this section, all female prisoners are segregated by their crimes except political prisoners. (Goya News – April 25, 2010)

تحصن زندانيان زن سياسي در بند نسوان در اعتراض به عدم اجراي اصل تفكيك جرايم
طي اخبار رسيده زندانيان زن سياسي در بند زنان اوين امروز در اعتراض به عدم رعايت آيين نامه زندان ها مبني بر تفکيک جرايم در مقابل در رييس اين بند (خانم رضايي) تحصن کرده اند و خواستار اجراي اين بند از آيين نامه زندان ها شده اند.
به گزارش گويا نيوز، از طرف ديگر رييس بند آنها را تهديد کرده است و گفته براي اجرايي شدن اين بند نيازبه دستور دادستان است.
به هر حال زندانيان زن سياسي در بند نيز اعلام کرده اند تا حصول نتيجه به تحصن خود ادامه خواهند داد. گفتني است که اين بند آيين نامه در مورد همه زندانيان زن به جز زندانيان سياسي اجرا مي شود. (گويا نيوز – 5/2/89)
Dutch – Iranian woman under torture in Evin Prison
According to reports, a female political prisoner has been held in a state of limbo in the notorious cellblock 209 in Evin Prison since her arrest on Ashura (December 27, 2009). Zahra Bahrami is a resident of Holland and has a dual Iranian and Dutch nationality. She came to Iran to visit her child.
This 45-year-old political prisoner is kept along with two other prisoners in one cell and has been banned from visiting her family since her arrest. Bahrami is suffering from depression because of the physical and psychological torture she was subjected to in prison.
Her family has been under pressure and threats by interrogators banning them from publishing news on Bahrami. They have been threatened that if they do, they will also be in trouble.
Bahrami was arrested in the Ashura protests after she was attacked by security forces and taken to cellblock 209 in Evin Prison. She was then transferred to a solitary cell in the Sepah Cellblock in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj where she was mentally and physically tortured and immorally insulted by interrogators of the Ministry of Intelligence to give televised interviews. She was forced to give a couple of interviews.
Interrogators broadcasted her interviews after she signed a written pledge of cooperation and used her interviews as confessions against her. She has been charged with Moharebeh, acting against national security, and being a member of the Royalist Association among other things. يک بانوي ايراني _ هلندي تحت شکنجه در بند 209 اوين
يکي از زنان دستگيرشده در روز عاشورا از زمان دستگيري تا به حال دربند مخوف 209 زندان اوين در بلاتکليفي بسر مي برد. خانم زهرا بهرامي مقيم کشور هلند مي باشد و داراي مليت ايراني- هلندي است. او براي ديدن فرزندش به ايران سفر کرده بود.
زنداني سياسي زهرا بهرامي 45 ساله از دستگير شدگان روز عاشورا از زمان دستگيري تا به حال در بند مخوف 209 زندان اوين بسر مي برد. او در سلولي همراه با 2 نفر ديگر زنداني است و از زمان دستگير تا به حال از داشتن ملاقات حضوري با خانواده اش محروم بوده است. خانم بهرامي در اثر شکنجه هاي شديد روحي و جسمي دچار افسردگي شده است.
خانواده او در طي اين مدت تحت فشارهاي روحي و تهديدات بازجويان قرار دارند که از انتشار وضعيت وشرايط خانم بهرامي خوداري کنند و گرنه آنها هم دچار مشکل خواهند شد.
خانم بهرامي در جريان اعتراضات گسترده روز عاشورا با يورش مامورين سرکوبگر دستگير و به بند 209 زندان اوين منتقل شد سپس او را به سلولهاي انفرادي بند سپاه در زندان گوهردشت کرج انتقال دادند.در آنجا او تحت شکنجه هاي وحشيانه جسمي و روحي و توهينهاي اخلاقي بازجويان وزارت اطلاعات قرار گرفت تا او را به مصاحبه تلويزيوني وادار کنند. خانم بهرامي چندين بار وادار به مصاحبه تلويزيوني گرديد...
بازجويان بعد از گرفتن اعترافات تلويزيوني و تعهد کتبي همکاري با آنها اقدام به پخش مصاحبه هاي تلويزيوني وي نمودند و اعترافات تلويزيوني را بعنوان اتهام عليه او بکار بردند. ازجمله اتهامات او؛محاربه،اقدام عليه امنيت ،عضويت در انجمن پادشاهي و اتهامات متعدد ديگري مي باشد. Plainclothes agents beat and arrest Dervish in Fars Province
On Sunday April 25, plainclothes agents raided the home of Bahiar Rajabi, a Neimatollahi Dervish in Fars Province at 7 pm.
During this attack, agents broke his home window and beat Rajabi. He was arrested by security forces and transferred a few hours later to the Abgarm Base in Kovar Town. (Majzubian Nour Website – April 26, 2010)

Mashhad Baha'is receive heavy prison terms
The court of Review in Mashhad issued heavy sentences for 9 Baha'i residents in this city.
According to these sentences, five of these men and women by the names of Sima Eshraqi, Rozita Vatefi, Davar Nabil Zadeh, Jalayer Vahdat and Nahid Qadiri were each sentenced to 5 years of prison on charges of spreading propaganda against the government, acting against national security by membership in and illegal activities for a Baha'i organization, advertizing on behalf of and being in contact with outsiders, holding illegal gatherings, and publishing and distributing CD's and books related to the Baha'i faith.
Four other Baha'is by the names of Nasrin Qadiri, Kaviz Nouzedhi, Houman Bakht Avar and Sima Rajabian were sentenced to two years of prison.

صدور احکام سنگين حبس براي شهروندان بهايي مشهدي
دادگاه تجديد نظر براي 9 شهروند بهايي ساكن مشهد احکام سنگين حبس صادر کرده است.
بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، طبق اين احكام 5 تن از اين افراد به نام هاي سيما اشراقي، رزيتا واثقي، داور نبيل زاده ، جلاير وحدت و ناهيد قديري به اتهام تبليغ عليه نظام، اقدام عليه امنيت داخلي از طريق عضويت و فعاليت غير قانوني در تشكيلات بهائيت و تبليغ و ارتباط با بيگانگان، برگزاري اجتماعات غيرقانوني و نشر و توزيع سي دي و كتب بهائيت، هر يک به 5 سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شدند.
هم چنين 4 تن ديگر از ايشان به نام هاي نسرين قديري، كاويز نوزدهي، هومن بخت آور و سيما رجبيان به 2 سال حبس تعزيري محكوم شدند.

8 Ahwaz University students barred or suspended from education
At least eight students of the Chamran University in Ahwaz were denied the right to education on orders of the head of this university and were banned from entering university grounds.
They are Javad Alikhani, suspended for two semesters, Arman Momini, Mohammad Moussavi Rahimi, Mohsen Jafarpour, Faranak Osulian, Fatemeh Taqvazadeh and Ahmad Koshtkar who were each sentenced to one semester of suspension.
These are students whose sentences were finalized but there are many other students who are waiting for their final sentences. (Student News – April 24, 2010)

State run news agency fires female journalist for participation in demo
Zeinab Kazemzadeh (ISNA reporter) who was arrested in her home at 3 am on February 7, 2010 by 9 agents of the Intelligence Agency went to the ISNA offices after her release from prison, but Saied Pourali, the former head of this news agency, called her a 'traitor' and said that they cannot accept her as a employee in ISNA.
This is while this journalist had received a letter from prison officials to the head of ISNA upon her release saying that she was innocent of the charges made against her and she was told that she could continue her work as a professional journalist. به گزارش خبرنگار رهانا، اين در حالي‌ست که اين خبرنگار روز 16 اسفند هنگام آزادشدن از زندان، نامه‌اي از مسوولان زندان خطاب به مدير عامل ايسنا، مبني بر بيگناهي دريافت کرده که بيانگر بيگناهي اوست و به او گفته شده مي‌تواند به عنوان خبرنگار به فعاليت حرفه‌اي خود ادامه دهد. حكم تعليق و ممنوع الورودي براي حداقل ۸ دانشجو در دانشگاه شهيد چمران اهواز
حداقل 8 نفر از دانشجويان دانشگاه شهيد چمران اهواز از تحصيل محروم شده و به دستور رياست دانشگاه به دانشگاه ممنوع الورد شدند.

According to reports, five students in Yasuj University were suspended from 1 to 2 semesters from this university.
They are Amir Khosravi, Daryoush Jalali, Ali Aminian, Sajad Jafari and Farajollah Tavousi. They were summoned to the Disciplinary Committee and Protection Department and then suspended for participating in university gatherings last November and December. (Daneshju News – April 29, 2010)

Security forces raid home of student activist 
Agents of the Arak Prosecutor's Office entered the home of Abed Tavancheh, a former student activist, and threw out the residents intending to seal the house shut.
Abed Tavancheh is a former member of the Islamic Association of Amir Kabir University who was sentenced to one year of prison by the Revolutionary Court last December. But the Revolutionary Court refrained from giving him his written sentence and as a result, Tavancheh and his lawyer Naser Zarafshan did not sign the sentence which was orally announced to them. The judge presiding over the case then illegally sent this sentence to the Prison Sentence Implementation Department without first referring it to a court of review

Abed Tavancheh is a former member of the Islamic Association of Amir Kabir University who was sentenced to one year of prison by the Revolutionary Court last December. But the Revolutionary Court refrained from giving him his written sentence and as a result, Tavancheh and his lawyer Naser Zarafshan did not sign the sentence which was orally announced to them. The judge presiding over the case then illegally sent this sentence to the Prison Sentence Implementation Department without first referring it to a court of review
After this illegal measure, Dr. Zarafshan immediately filed a complaint against the judge but with pressure from the Arak Intelligence Agency, the Prosecutor's office considered the sentence confirmed and the agents of the Prison Sentence Implementation Department raided this student's home in an attempt to arrest him (even on the countdown to the New Iranian Year).
Finally, today, these agents came to his home, (the ownership document of his home had been pledged for Tavancheh's temporary release from prison) and gathered the home belongings to seal it shut. These agents temporarily ceased their action after they were met with resistance from the residents of the house but they threatened that they will seal the house as soon as possible because they had an evacuation warrant.
Finally, today, these agents came to his home, (the ownership document of his home had been pledged for Tavancheh's temporary release from prison) and gathered the home belongings to seal it shut. These agents temporarily ceased their action after they were met with resistance from the residents of the house but they threatened that they will seal the house as soon as possible because they had an evacuation warrant.
The Tavancheh family is currently in a poor mental state and security forces constantly call their home demanding that they hand over their son to security forces. (Student News – April 24, 2010)

هجوم مأموران به منزل عابد توانچه و تلاش براي پلمب منزل در ازاي وثيقه صبح امروز مأموران دادستاني شهرستان اراک با ورود
به منزل شخصي عابد توانچه، از فعالين سابق دانشجويي طيف چپ، اقدام به بيرون کردن ساکنين منزل و تلاش براي پلمب منزل نمودند.به گزارش دانشجو نيوز، عابد توانچه از اعضاي سابق انجمن اسلامي دانشگاه اميرکبير است که دي ماه گذشته از سوي دادگاه انقلاب اراک به يک سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شد. اما دادگاه انقلاب اراک از ابلاغ کتبي حکم خودداري نمود در نتيجه عابد توانچه و وکيل وي ناصر زرافشان از امضاي ابلاغ حکم که به صورت شفاهي ابلاغ شده بود خودداري کردند. سپس قاضي پرونده در اقدامي کاملاً غيرقانوني حکم يک سال حبس تعزيري اين فعال دانشجويي را بدون ارسال به دادگاه تجديد نظر براي اجرا، به بخش اجراي احکام زندان فرستاد.
در پي اين اقدام غير قانوني قاضي پرونده، بلافاصله شکايتي توسط دکتر زرافشان تنظيم و پرونده قاضي به دادگاه انتظامي قضات فرستاده شد اما با فشار اطلاعات شهرستان اراک، دادستاني اين شهر حکم را تأييد يافته تلقي نمود و مأموران اجراي احکام چندين مرتبه (حتي در لحظه تحويل سال) براي بازداشت اين فعال سابق دانشجويي به منزل وي هجوم آوردند.
سرانجام صبح امروز مأموران با حضور در منزل شخصي وي که سند آن به عنوان وثيقه آزادي موقت در دادستاني توقيف بود، اقدام به جمع آوري وسايل منزل به قصد توقيف آن نمودند که با مقاومت اهالي منزل موقتاً از اقدام خود منصرف شدند اما تهديد کردند که با توجه به در دست داشتن حکم تخليه، در اسرع وقت خانه را پلمب خواهند کرد.
هم اکنون خانواده ي توانچه در شرايط روحي بسيار نامناسبي قراردارند و مأموران امنيتي نيز با تماس هاي تلفني مکرر و تهديد خانواده براي تحويل وي آسايش را از آنان سلب نموده اند. (دانشجو نيوز - 4/2/89)
Political prisoners denied minimum rights
Agents of the Ahmadinejad government's Ministry of Intelligence are not satisfied with the legal procedures taken by the prosecutor's office. They are also not satisfied with the sentences issued for political prisoners and the measures taken for their freedom or granting them leaves. Political prisoners who had been granted furloughs have been summoned by the Intelligence Agency and asked to give interviews to 'break' them. They are threatened that they will be jailed if they refuse. (The Intelligence Agency) is also making new arrests and sends prisoners who are on leave to prison. (Kalameh Website – April 26, 2010)
زندانيان سياسي از حق مرخصي ممنوع مي شوند
ماموران وزارت اطلاعات دولت احمدي نژاد از رويه دادستاني راضي نيستند. نه از حکم هايي که داده مي شود و نه از اقداماتي که براي آزاد کردن و به مرخصي فرستادن زندانيان صورت مي گيرد. براي همين زندانيان به مرخصي آمده را وزارت اطلاعات احضار مي کند و از آنها مي خواهد که مصاحبه کنند و خود را ” بشکنند ” ، و يا به زندان بازگردند. روند آزادي ها نه فقط متوقف که معکوس هم شده است. بازداشتي هاي جديد و بازگرداندن زندانيان به مرخصي آمده. Jailed labor leader gets charged with communicating with dissidents in prison
According to reports, on the eve of International Labor Day, a new case was filed against t
he head of the Tehran Bus Company Union, Mansour Osalu.On April 25, this political prisoner was taken to the 6th branch of the Revolutionary Court in Karaj with shackles and a new case was filed against him. His complainants were Ali Haj Kazem and Ali Mohammadi, the head and assistant head of Gohardasht Prison in Karaj (where this labor leader is detained). روز يکشنبه 5 ارديبهشت ماه زنداني سياسي منصور اسالو رئيس سنديکاي شرکت اتوبوس راني تهران و حومه با دست بند و پابند به شعبه 6 بازپرسي دادگاه انقلاب کرج برده شد و پرونده جديدي عليه او گشوده شد. شاکيان آقاي اسالو در اين پرونده علي حاج کاظم و علي محمدي رئيس و معاون زندان گوهردشت کرج مي باشند . اتهامي که به آقاي اسالو نسبت داده شده است ارتباط با معاندين نظام در زندان مي باشد.
