Iran sentences Baha’i man to 4 years of prison

According to the ruling of a court of review, a Baha’i man from Amol was sentenced to four years of prison.
Houshang Fanayian who has been detained in Amol Prison for more than four months now was sentenced to three years of prison on charges of participating in a religious ceremony and being a member of the Baha’i society, and one year of prison on charges of being a member of Facebook and propagating against the government. Iran sentences Dervishes to prison and flogging for protesting
Four Neimatollahi Dervishes were sentenced to prison terms and flogging by the first branch of the Sarvestan Public Court in Fars Province.
According to reports, 11 months after a strike by Neimatollahi Dervishes outside of the Sarvestan Governor’s Office, four Dervishes identified as Farzad Darvish Sarvestani, Mohammad-Ali Sadi, Mohammad-Jalal Nikbakht Sarvestani and Hojjatollah Saiedi were sentenced to six months of prison and 40 lashes on charges of ‘disrupting public order’. Iran carries out new wave of arrests of Baha’is
In the ongoing measures carried out against Baha’is by the security apparatus, more than 10 people in Isfahan and Yakan in Birjand were arrested.
According to reports, on the eve of Tuesday July 12, agents of the Intelligence Agency in Isfahan went to the home of Navid Parvini during a religious ceremony called the ‘Feast’ and after searching his home and seizing his computer, books and religious booklets, arrested Navid Parvini and his wife Negar Sobhanian. Keivan Dehqani, Farshid Badakhsh and a number of other Baha’is (about 12 people) in the ceremony were also arrested and taken to an unknown location.
Afsaneh Ferdusian (wife of Keivan Dehqani) who was at the ceremony with her four year old and nine month old children was sent home with a Taxi [by security forces] because her children were crying. She was told to wait for their call.
There is no information on the condition and whereabouts of the detainees thus far.
In Birjand, intelligence agents went to the home of another Baha’i man identified as Saied Mokhtari and after searching his home and seizing his personal and religious belongings, arrested him and took him to an unknown location.
These agents then went to his shop and seized his computer and some documents. (Human Rights Activists in Iran – Jul. 14, 2011)

MP: RGC has duty to deal with toppling movement

A member of the Majlis’s [Iranian Parliament] National Security Commission said that the insults of the illegal Mosharekat Party [Participation Party] against the commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps is a result of a failed conspiracy of the seditionist movement to topple the Islamic Revolution.
“The RGC has a duty to deal with the internal toppling movement like it would deal with the external enemy”, she said.
In an interview with Fars, Zohreh Elahian, the representative of the people of Tehran and a member of the National Security Commission and Foreign Policy of the Islamic Council Majlis said that the RGC is the legal defender of the Islamic Revolution.
“The Constitution requires the RGC to protect the Islamic Revolution in the face of all the attacks that threaten the revolution, therefore in the 2009 seditions the RGC defended the government in its entirety against the over-throwers”, she said…
“The RGC will deal powerfully with any faction or party that intends to act against the Islamic Revolution and it does not make a difference in what government or time this deviated movement takes form. 881 people arrested in Kerman, thousands of ‘anti-cultural and satellite equipment seized’

The Operations Assistant of the Kerman State Security Forces said that 811 suspects were arrested in the first day of the Zolfaqar 90 maneuver.
“In the past 24 hours, 811 suspects were arrested and also 20 instances of robberies, and 10,000 anti-cultural and satellite equipment were discovered”, Colonel Abdolreza Nazeri said.
“Some of the discoveries made in this maneuver were the discovery of 23 hunting rifles that did not have licenses, 1,277 satellite equipment, 14 stolen automobiles and 9,390 anti-cultural equipment”, he added. (Asre- Iran state-run website – Jul. 11, 2011)

Girls forced to wear ‘chador’ in Bushehr’s schools

The head of the Bushehr Educational Department said that the plan to carry out the Islamic covering and chador (head to toe covering for women) will be carried out from September 23 in the new academic year in 39 specific junior high and high schools in this province.
He said that this plan would be implemented in all schools in the Bushehr province.
“Students can enroll for the new school year from June 22 and since the Moral Charter was announced to schools, the students’ parents have to sign a pledge, otherwise they will not be able to enroll [their children]”. (Bona state-run media- Jul. 13, 2011)

Iran closes down coffee shops that have not banned women from entering

In line with the Moral Security Plan and with the coordination of judicial sources, as of July 11, women were banned from entering coffee or tea shops that offer their customers water pipes.
Yesterday a number of coffee shops that served water pipes to women were shut down and sealed off. This plan will soon be carried out for Sofre Khaneh’s [traditional restaurants that serve water pipes]. (Jul. 12, 2011)

محکوميت هوشنگ فنائيان به ۴ سال حبس تعزيري

بر اساس راي دادگاه تجديد نظر "هوشنگ فنائيان" شهروند بهايي ساکن آمل به تحمل چهار سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شده است.

بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، ارگان خبري مجموعه فعالان حقوق بشر در ايران، هوشنگ فنائيان که بيش از ۴ ماه است در زندان آمل به سر مي‌برد، به اتهام شرکت در جلسه "ضيافت" (جلسه مذهبي مختص بهاييان) و عضويت در جامعه بهايي به سه سال حبس تعزيري و به اتهام عضويت در فيس بوک تحت عنوان تبليغ عليه نظام به يک سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شد. محکوميت چهار تن از دراويش به حبس و شلاق

چهارتن از دراويش طريقت نعمت اللهي گنابادي از سوي شعبه اول دادگاه عمومي سروستان استان فارس، به حبس و شلاق محکوم شدند

به گزارش جرس، با گذشت يازده ماه از تحصن‌ اعتراض‌آميز دراويش سلسله نعمت‌اللهي گنابادي شهرستان سروستان در مقابل فرمانداري آن شهر، براي چهار تن از دراويش به نامهاي فرزاد درويش سروستاني، محمد علي سعدي، محمد جلال نيکبخت سروستاني و حجت الله سعيدي به اتهام «اخلال در نظم عمومي» از سوي دادرس دادگاه به شش ماه حبس و چهل ضربه شلاق محکوم شدند.( جرس – 23/4/90)

تداوم بازداشت شهروندان بهايي در شهر‌هاي مختلف

در تداوم برخورد دستگاه‌هاي امنيتي با شهروندان بهايي بيش از ده نفر در اصفهان و يکن در بيرجند بازداشت شدند.

بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، ارگان خبري مجموعه فعالان حقوق بشر در ايران، عصر روز سه شنبه ۲۱ تيرماه ماموران اداره اطلاعات اصفهان به يک جلسه مذهبي بهائيان تحت عنوان ضيافت که در منزل يک شهروند بهايي به نام نويد پرويني تشکيل شده بود، مراجعه کرده و پس از تفتيش منزل و ضبط کامپيو‌تر، کتب و جزوات مذهبي، نويد پرويني را به همراه همسرش نگار سبحانيان، کيوان دهقاني، فرشيد بدخش و تعدادي ديگر از شهروندان حاضر در جلسه مذکور (حدود ۱۲ نفر) را بازداشت و به نقطه نامعلومي منتقل نمودند.

هم چنين افسانه فردوسيان (همسر کيوان دهقاني) که با دو فرزند چهار ساله و نه ماهه در جلسه مذکور حضور داشته را به دليل ناآرامي و گريه بچه‌ها با تاکسي به منزل مي‌فرستند و از وي مي‌خواهند که منتظر تماس آن‌ها باشند.

قابل ذکر است تا اين زمان هيچ اطلاعي از بازداشت شدگان مزبور در دست نيست.

از سوي ديگر در همين روز ماموران اداره اطلاعات شهرستان بيرجند به منزل يک شهروند بهايي به نام سعيد مختاري مراجعه نموده و پس از تفتيش منزل و ضبط برخي وسايل شخصي و مذهبي، نامبرده را بازداشت و به نقطه نامعلومي منتقل کردند.

ماموران سپس به محل کسب (فروشگاه لوازم بهداشتي) وي رفته و پس از بازرسي محل و ضبط کامپيو‌تر و بعضي مدارک محل را ترک نمودند. (هرانا – 23/4/90)

الهيان: وظيفه سپاه برخوردباجريان براندازاست

عضو كميسيون امنيت ملي ‌مجلس اهانت‌هاي سران حزب منحله و غيرقانوني مشاركت به فرمانده سپاه را ناشي از توطئه نافرجام جريان فتنه براي براندازي انقلاب اسلامي دانست و گفت: سپاه پاسداران وظيفه دارد با جريان برانداز داخلي همچون دشمن خارجي برخورد كند.

زهره الهيان نماينده مردم تهران و عضو كميسيون امنيت ملي و سياست خارجي مجلس شوراي اسلامي در گفت‌وگو با فارس، سپاه پاسداران را مدافع قانوني انقلاب اسلامي دانست و گفت: قانون اساسي سپاه را موظف به حراست از كيان انقلاب اسلامي در برابر تمامي هجمه‌هايي كه انقلاب را تهديد مي‌كند،‌ كرده است، بنابراين در فتنه ۸۸ تمام سپاه از كليت نظام در برابر براندازان دفاع كرد...

الهيان تصريح كرد: هر حزب و جناحي بخواهد عليه انقلاب اسلامي اقدام كند، سپاه با تمام وجود با آن مقابله خواهد كرد و فرقي نمي‌كند اين جريان انحرافي در كدام دولت و در كدام دوره شكل بگيرد، مهم اين است كه سپاه بايد به وظيفه خود عمل كند... (جهان امروز – 19/4/90)

دستگيري 811 متهم در کرمان

معاون عمليات فرمانده انتظامي کرمان از دستگيري 811 متهم در نخستين روز رزمايش ذوالفقار 90 خبر داد.

سرهنگ عبدالرضا ناظري در خصوص دستاوردهاي اولين روز رزمايش ذوافقار 90 اظهار داشت: در طي اين 24 ساعت 811 متهم تحت تعقيب دستگير شدند و همچنين کشف 20 فقره انواع سرقت و 10 هزار عدد اقلام ضد فرهنگي و تجهيزات ماهواره اي از ديگر اقدامات صورت گرفته در مدت مذکور بوده است...

وي بيان داشت: از جمله کشفيات اين رزمايش مي توان به کشف 23 قبضه سلاح شکاري بدون مجوز، هزار و 277 قطعه تجهيزات دريافت ماهواره، 14 دستگاه وسيله نقليه مسروقه و همچنين 9 هزار و 390 عدد اقلام فرهنگي غير مجاز اشاره کرد.. (عصر ايران – 20/4/90)

استفاده اجباري از چادر در مدارس راهنمايي و دبيرستانهاي بوشهر

مديركل آموزش و پرورش استان بوشهر گفت: طرح نهادينه كردن پوشش اسلامي با محوريت چادر از اول مهرماه سال تحصيلي جديد در 39 مدرسه خاص راهنمايي و دبيرستان اين استان اجرائي مي شود.

وي با بيان اينكه اين طرح به مرور در همه مدارس استان بوشهر اجرايي خواهد شد اضافه كرد: ثبت نام دانش آموزان براي سال تحصيلي جديد از اول تيرماه آغاز مي شود و با ابلاغ منشور اخلاقي به مدارس اولياء دانش آموزان مي بايست نسبت به امضاي يك فرم تعهد نامه اقدام كنند در غير اين صورت از ثبت نام ممانعت به عمل مي آيد. در راستاي طرح ارتقاي امنيت اخلاقي و با هماهنگي مراجع قضايي از 20 تيرماه ورود بانوان به چايخانه‌ها و قهوه‌خانه‌هايي که با قليان از مشتريان خود پذيرايي مي‌کنند، ممنوع است.

پليس ديروز چند قهوه‌خانه را که براي بانوان قليان سرو مي‌کردند، پلمپ کرده است. ضمن اينکه به زودي درباره سفره‌خانه‌ها هم چنين طرحي اجرا مي‌شود. (آفتاب – 21/4/90)
