Ardabil judicial official says executing drug traffickers is Iran’s pride and honor

The Head of the Ardabil Judiciary said that the issuing and implementation of execution sentences for drug traffickers is the Islamic Republic’s pride.
“These sentences that are issued and implemented after legal procedures and with the presence and defense of the suspects’ lawyers are the pride of the Islamic Republic”, Gholamali Rezayi said on Saturday in a session of the Legal and Judicial Committee of the Coordination Council to Counter Narcotics in the Province.
“Western countries try to overshadow the implementation of death sentences for drug traffickers with their psychological propaganda without knowing that we will not conciliate with anyone on the issue of narcotics and will consider fighting with narcotics our duty and will never back down until our last drop of blood”, he added. At least 4 people executed in past two weeks in Qom

Mohammad-Reza Mir-Heidari, the Assistant Head of the Qom State Security Forces said in a news conference on Monday that four people were executed in Qom Prison in the past two weeks on charges of trafficking narcotics.
Mir-Heidari only mentioned the execution of these four people in the ‘sidelines’ of the news conference. The names of these four prisoners were not announced and Iranian media had not published news of these executions prior to this.
Iranian officials do not publish all executions and therefore human rights groups believe that the numbers of executions are much higher than what Iranian media announce. (Human Rights Activists in Iran, Ferdounews state-run website- Jul. 12, 2011)

Iran hangs man in Bandar Abbas

A prisoner was hanged on the dawn of July 13 in Bandar Abbas Prison.
According to the state-run IRNA News Agency, this prisoner identified by his initials as Q.K was sentenced to death by the Hormozgan Penal Court on charges of rape and murdering a five year old girl and the sentence was carried out after it was upheld by the 32nd branch of the Supreme Court. رئيس دادگستري اردبيل: اعدام قاچاقچيان مواد مخدر از افتخارات ايران است

رئيس كل دادگستري استان اردبيل گفت: صدور و اجراي احكام اعدام براي سوداگران و قاچاقچيان موادمخدر از افتخارات نظام جمهوري اسلامي ايران است.

آفتاب: غلامعلي رضايي بعد از ظهر شنبه درجلسه كميته حقوقي و قضايي شوراي هماهنگي مبارزه با موادمخدر استان اظهار داشت: اين احكام كه با طي مراحل قانوني و با حضور، پيگيري و دفاع وكلاي متهمين و محكومين صادر و اجرا مي‌شود جزو افتخارات جمهوري اسلامي است.

وي افزود: كشورهاي غربي تلاش مي‌كنند اجراي احكام اعدام براي قاچاقچيان موادمخدر در كشور را تحت‌الشعاع جنگ و تبليغات رواني خود قرار دهند غافل از اينكه در مورد موادمخدر ما با هيچكس سر سازش نداريم و تا آخرين قطره خون و توان، مبارزه با موادمخدر را وظيفه خود مي‌دانيم و به هيچوجه كوتاه نخواهيم آمد. اعدام دستکم چهار نفر دردو هفته گذشته در قم

محمد رضا ميررحيدري، جانشين فرماندهي انتظامي استان قم روز دوشنبه در کنفرانسي مطبوعاتي گفت که چهار نفر به اتهام قاچاق مواد مخدر در زندان قم طي دو هفتهء اخير اعدام شده‌اند.

مي‌رحيدري موضوع چهار اعدام را صرفا «در حاشيه» طرح نمود. اسامي هيچيک از اين چهار نفر اعدامي اعلام نشد و رسانه‌هاي ايران نيز پيش از اين خبر اين اعدام‌ها را منتشر نکرده‌اند.

مقامات ايراني خبر تمامي اعدام‌ها را منتشر نمي‌کنند و از اينرو گروه‌هاي حقوق بشر بر اين باورند که شمار واقعي اعدام‌ها بسيار بيشتر از آن چيزيست که رسانه‌هاي ايران اعلام مي‌کنند.(هرانا به نقل از فردونيوز – 21/4/90)

يک نفر در بندر عباس اعدام شد

يک زنداني بامداد روز چهارشنبه، بيست و دوم تيرماه، در زندان بندر عباس اعدام شد.

به گزارش ايرنا، اين فرد که هويت وي "ق.ک" عنوان شده است، به اتهام تجاوز و قتلِ يک دختر پنج ساله در دادگاه كيفري استان هرمزگان به اعدام محکوم شده بود و حكم پس از تائيد شعبه ۳۲ ديوان عالي كشور به اجرا در آمد.

گفتني ست که صدور و اجراي احکام اعدام براي زندانيان با اتهام تجاوز در طي ماه هاي اخير افزايش چشمگيري داشته است. (ايرنا – 23/4/90)
