Iran arrests people in Mahabad for ‘cooperating with dissident parties’

A number of people in Mahabad were arrested in the past few days by security forces on charges of cooperating with dissident parties.
Shirkou Sabili, Salar Shabahang and Ismail Afshin were some of those who were arrested. They were recently transferred from a detention center to the Central Mahabad Prison

چند شهروند مهابادي طي روزهاي اخير به اتهام همکاري با احزاب مخالف نظام، توسط نيروهاي امنيتي در اين شهر بارداشت شدند.
به آژانس خبري موکريان، شيرکو سبيلي، سالار شباهنگ، و اسماعيل افشين از جمله اين بازداشت شدگان مي باشند.

Three members of political prisoner’s family arrested

The family members of Kiarash Kamrani who was arrested on December 27, 2009 on Ashura in Tehran were arrested in their weekly visit with him in prison.
The father, sister and brother of this student who was sentenced to six years of prison were arrested in the visiting hall for prisoners in cellblock 350 in Evin Prison and their home was also searched by security forces. The Kamranis were charged with ‘propagating against the government’.
Kamrani’s father and sister were released later on but Mehdi Kamrani, his brother is still detained in cellblock 350

بازداشت سه تن از اعضاي خانواده کيارش کامراني

اعضاي خانواده کيارش کامراني يکي از بازداشت شدگان حوادث 6 دي ماه (عاشورا) در تهران، در جريان ملاقات هفتگي با وي بازداشت شدند.
به گزارش ادوار نيوز، پدر، خواهر و برادر اين دانشجوي زنداني که با توجه به راي دادگاه تجديدنظر به 6 سال حبس محکوم شده است، اواسط هفته به اتهام "تبليغ عليه نظام" در سالن ملاقات با زندانيان بند 350 اوين بازداشت شدند و منزلشان نيز مورد تفتيش قرار گرفت.
پدر و خواهر کيارش کامراني بعدتر آزاد شده اند اما "مهدي کامراني" برادر وي همچنان در بند 350 اوين در بازداشت است. (ادوار نيوز – 20/3/89)

Iran arrests nephew of executed political prisoner

Ten days after the arrest of a group of students at the Yazdan Panah Technical and Engineering College in Sanandaj, the Kamangar family has no information on the whereabouts of Azad Kamangar.
Azad Kamangar, a student at this university who is also the nephew of executed teacher Farzad Kamangar, disappeared on May 27 and after more than 9 days, there is still no information on his whereabouts. His family has gone to all the intelligence, security and judicial institutions in Sanandaj to get some word of him but has not been successful as yet.
His relatives say that his cellphone was turned off 10 days ago and no security institution is willing to take the responsibility of his arrest

بي خبري مطلق از آزاد کمانگر دانشجوي سنندجي
پس از گذشت 10 روز از بازداشت جمعي از دانشجويان دانشکده فني و مهندسي يزدان پناه سنندج خانواده کمانگر از وضعيت آزاد کمانگر اطلاعي ندارد.
بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، آزاد کمانگر دانشجوي دانشکده فني و مهندسي يزدان پناه سنندج و خواهر زاده فرزاد کمانگر معلم اعدام شده در 19 ارديبهشت از تاريخ 6 خرداد ماه مفقود شده است و پس از گذشت بيش از 9 روز هيچ اطلاعي از سرنوشت وي در دست نيست. خانواده وي در تلاش براي يافتن فرزندشان به تمام ارگان هاي اطلاعاتي، انتظامي و قضايي در سنندج مراجعه نموده و تا کنون موفق به اين امر نشده اند.
اقوام وي در گفتگو با گزارشگران هرانا اعلام کردند موبايل وي از 10 روز پيش تا کنون خاموش است و تا اين لحظه نيز هيچ ارگاني مسئوليت بازداشت، آزاد کمانگر را بر عهده نگرفته است. (هرانا – 15/3/89)

Sakineh Mohammadi on verge of stoning to death !!

Sakineh has been in prison for the past 5 years and waiting these 5 years agonizingly for being stoned to death.

Her death sentence has been commuted to her on the charges of Adultery .

She has already under gone her 90 lashes, for having illegitimate relation with a man called Nasser and Seyed ALi.

According to her lawyer, Sakineh has in numerous times denounced the charges as illegal and false , but the sentence was passed by the Judge presiding on her case on his personal judgment and not according to the stated article 83 which brings ino light a new set of investigations if the prisoner denounces the charges.

Background

Sakineh Mohammadi was convicted on 15 May 2006 of having had an “illicit relationship” with two men. She received flogging of 99 lashes as her sentence. She was subsequently accused of “adultery while being married" in September 2006 during the trial of a man accused of murdering her husband. In this trial, Sakineh Mohammadi retracted a “confession” that she had made during her pre-trial interrogation, alleging that she had been forced to make it under duress, and denied the charge of adultery. Two of the five judges found her not guilty, noting that she had already been flogged and adding that they did not find the necessary proof of adultery in the case against her. However, the three other judges, including the presiding judge, found her guilty on the basis of “the knowledge of the judge”, a provision in Iranian law that allows judges to make their own subjective and possibly arbitrary determination whether an accused person is guilty even in the absence of clear or conclusive evidence. Having been convicted by a majority of the five judges, Sakineh Mohammadi was sentenced to death by stoning.

Her death sentence was confirmed by the Supreme Court on 27 May 2007. Her case has been sent to the Amnesty and Clemency Commission twice, but her request for clemency was rejected on both occasions.

Sakineh Mohammadi’s lawyer again asked the Amnesty and Clemency Commission to review her case three months ago. It is not known how long this will take, but if rejected she would be at immediate risk of execution by stoning

400 arrested protesters taken to EVIN

According to sources of Kalame, as many as 300 detainees have been taken to the quarantine section of the notorious prison Evin.
The number revealed by the witness in Evin does not compromise the total number of detainees, since the Iranian regime involved the maximum resources of repression to arrest and beat protesters.
Sources say that a number of busses have also transferred the women detained to the woman's ward of this prison. As the busses show, this number may be 100 so far.

حدود ۴۰۰ تن از بازداشت شدگان ۲۲ خرداد، به اوین منتقل شدند

خبرگزاری هرانا - حدود ۴۰۰ تن از زنان و مردان بازداشت شده در ۲۲ خرداد، امروز به قرنطینه های زندان اوین منتقل شدند.

به گزارش کلمه منابع آگاه از زندان اوین گزارش دادند که تا این لحظه بیش از ۳۰۰ نفر از بازداشت شدگان روز شنبه تهران به قرنطینه زندان اوین انتقال یافته اند.

به دلیل تعداد نهادهای امنیتی و انتظامی و نظامی که روز گذشته در خیابانهای تهران اقدام به دستگیری افراد کرده اند این آمار آمار قطعی نبوده و فقط شامل کسانی است که به بازداشتگاه اوین انتقال یافته اند.

همچنین تعدادی اتوبوس نیز زنان بازداشت شده را به قرنطینه بند زنان انتقال داده اند که از تعداد انها نیز خبری در دست نیست اما با توجه به تعداد اتوبوسها به نظر می رسد زنان بازداشت شده در اوین حدود ۱۰۰ نفر باشند

Families Gather Outside Police Station to Demand Release of Arrested

The families of at least 200 people arrested yesterday gathered in front of the police station (by Bahman cinema) on Enghelab Avenue. The families demanded their release.

Police forces refused to hand over the list of arrested citizens. Ahmad Reza Radan, the Deputy Commander of the Iranian police, confirmed the arrests and stated, “A few people were arrested based on suspicions by the Ministry of Intelligence. They will be sent to court after their documents have been processed.”

Midnight celebration in Tehran after 22 Khordad protests

Tehran, Jun. 13 – At about 1:00 am on Sunday, large groups of people gathered at Tehran’s Azadi Square to sing and dance after successfully taking part in anti-government protests earlier on Saturday.

Some drivers joined the jubilant crowd, eye-witnesses said. Fearing a backlash, security forces stayed away.

تهران – 22 خرداد – يك الي دو ساعت بعد از نيمه شب ، مردم زيادي در ميدان آزادي ، به مناسبت تظاهرات پيروز خود برعليه خامنه اي و رژيمش به رقص پايكوبي پرداخته بودند . ماشينهاي عابرين در آنجا پارك كرده و به شادي مردم ميپيوستند و در جشن پيروزي روز 22 خرداد 89 شركت ميكردند . در آن ساعت شب ، هيچ خبري از نيروهاي سركوبگر نبود .
