25 prisoners secretly hanged in mass execution in Qezelhesar Prison

International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran :
According to reports, on Sunday, July 3, 25 prisoners who were mostly sentenced to death on drug-related charges were hanged in a mass execution in Qezelhesar Prison. All those who were executed were detained in Cellblock 2 in this prison.
Like secret executions in Mashhad and Birjand which were disclosed before by the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran, these executions were carried out without the presence and knowledge of the prisoners’ families and lawyers. This is while according to Iranian law, the families and lawyers of prisoners should be informed about the date of the execution and should be present on the scene.
Sources have told the Campaign that in the past two years ‘dozens of prisoners’ were executed in the same way in this prison but reports of the executions were not published by official sources.

اعدام پنهاني و گروهي ۲۵ زنداني قزلحصار

به گزارش کمپين بين المللي حقوق بشر، روز يکشنبه دوازدهم تيرماه سال نود ، ۲۵ زنداني که اکثر آنها جرائم مرتبط با مواد مخدر داشته اند در زندان قزحصار کرج به صورت دسته جمعي اعدم شده اند. همه اعدام شده ها از زندانيان اندرزگاه ۲ زندان قزلحصار بوده اند.

اين اعدام ها همچون اعدام هاي پنهاني در شهرهاي مشهد و بيرجند که پيش از اين کمپين در اين ارتباط گزارش هايي را منتشر کرده بود، بدون حضور و اطلاع خانواده و وکلا اعدام شده ها اجرا شده است. اين درحالي است که طبق قوانين داخلي ايران پيش از اعدام بايد خانواده ها و وکلا از زمان اجراي حکم مطلع شوند و هنگام اجراي حکم در محل حاضر باشند.‏

منابع ياد شده به کمپين گفتند که در دو سال اخير “دهها زنداني ” در اين زندان به همين شيوه اعدام شده اند و اخبار آنها به صورت رسمي اعلام نشده است. (کمپين بين المللي حقوق بشر – 13/4/90)
