Last week the Islamic Republic’s Minister of Foreign Affairs claimed that ‘we have no fear of the presence of the Iran Special Human Rights Rapporteur in Iran’, but on June 28 he stressed that ‘the Islamic Republic will not accept the Special Human Rights Rapporteur’.
Ramin Mehmanparast, Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman also claimed in his weekly meeting with reporters that the appointment of the Iran Special Human Rights Rapporteur ‘was carried out with political aims and under the pressure of western countries’ and that the appointment of such a person is ‘in our opinion unacceptable’. Political prisoner fired from job after release from prison
Ashkan Yazdchi was fired from his job after his sentence was upheld by the Tehran Court of Review.
According to reports, he was arrested during the protests on December 27, 2009 and was sentenced to 3 years of prison and a permanent ban on working for the government by Judge Salavati. A court of review then lowered his sentence to five years of suspended prison and a permanent ban on working for the government.
After this sentence was issued, he was fired from his job at a company affiliated with the Tehran Municipality. (Human Rights Activists in Iran – Jun. 28, 2011)
Two students expelled from university for following Baha’i faith
Nora Sahrangi, a Baha’i resident of Bandar Abbas in southern Iran who studied accounting in the Qeshm University was denied the right to take the final exam and was expelled from this university for being a Baha’i.
Another student in this university, Ava Tavakoli, who studied anesthesiology at Qeshm University was told by the university that she cannot register for the next semester and has been expelled.
Notably, Baha’is in Iran have been denied the right to higher education since the Islamic Revolution. (Human Rights Activists in Iran – Jun. 28, 2011)
Tehran security official warns that satellite channel users will be jailed
The Deputy Commander of the State Security Forces said, “Those who insist on using satellite equipment again will be referred to judicial sources”.
“At this stage, the State Security Forces are looking to deal with satellite equipment including satellite dishes that are in public view”, Ahmad-Reza Radan said.
“There were questions at this stage on what we should do if some people use this equipment again after it was confiscated once”.
“The State Security Forces have warned that in the second stage, they will get warrants from judicial sources to enter homes and these people will be refereed to judicial institutions for repeating their crimes”, he added. (Aftab state-run news – Jun. 29, 2011)
Tehran Traffic Police Chief calls on traffic police to stop ‘improperly veiled’ motorists
Dealing with ‘improperly veiled’ people is not only limited to streets and allies and traffic police also have the duty to deal with improperly veiled motorists or car passengers.
The head of the Greater Tehran District Traffic Police said that dealing with improperly veiled people in cars has been one of the duties of Traffic Police in the past and will be carried out more strictly this year.
He also stressed that the police would not invade the personal space of citizens but said that automobiles are not considered personal space.
“Traffic Police have a right to deal with those who are improperly veiled”, he said.
Traffic Police will stop cars with improperly veiled passengers and will give them a notice titled, “Social Offender Automobile Announcement”. On the back of this piece of paper it says that if the person does not go to the Department to See to Automobile Affairs 15 days after he/she received the notice, his/her car will be impounded. Iran arrests women’s rights activists and filmmaker
Mahnaz Mohammadi, documentary maker and women’s rights activist was arrested.
According to reports, she was arrested after security forces raided her home this morning. The identities of the agents and the reason she was arrested are not yet clear.
Other reports say that this women’s rights activist and photographer Maryam Majd were taken to the Evin Prison’s Cellblock 2A Sepah.
Mahnaz Mohammadi was arrested before this during the post-election protests on July 30, 2009 along with director Jafar Panahi, Rokhsareh Qaem Maqami and a group of other filmmakers in Tehran’s Behesht Zahra Cemetery. They had gone to pay their respects to those killed during the election protests. She was also arrested during a gathering by women’s rights activists outside of the Revolutionary Court on March 8, 2008 which was held in protest to the pressures on these activists and numerous summonses by security institutions.
‘Shadow-less Women’ is her most renowned work and she has received numerous awards for it outside and inside Iran. She recently made ‘We are half of the Iran Population’ which is about the demands of women in the presidential elections, along with Rakhshan Bani Etemad.
Maryam Majd, who is the only photographer in Iran who specializes in sports was also arrested last Friday when she intended to leave Iran for Germany to cooperate with Petlanderz, a former player of the German Women’s Soccer National League. She was stopped by security forces in the Khomeini Airport in Tehran and was immediately arrested. There are reports that she is in poor health in Evin Prison. Top cleric bans women from watching wrestling and swimming on TV
Seyed Ahmad Khatami, a member of Iran’s Assembly of Experts who is also a pro-government cleric said in his latest remarks that women have no right to watch swimming or wrestling competitions which is broadcasted from Iranian state-run television.
“I want to stress that it is forbidden for women to look on to men [that are not related to them]. Women have no right to watch the wrestling that is shown on TV. This is an affirmation of the Fatwas of the clerics. They have no right to watch swimming that is put on TV. If women watch male swimmers, this is forbidden. Supreme clerics have stipulated this”, he said.
“Do not say, well why are these things shown on TV? Not everyone is supposed to watch everything on TV. When wrestling is put on [TV}, a lady who is watching should not look”, he added. (Daneshju News – Jun. 30, 2011)

مخالفت وزارت خارجه با اعزام گزارشگر حقوق بشر
درحاليکه وزير خارجه جمهوري اسلامي هفته گذشته پيرامون اعزام گزارشگر ويژه حقوق بشر به ايران مدعي شده بود که "هيچ نگراني و ترسي از حضور گزارشگر ويژه در ايران نداريم"، وي روز سه شنبه هفتم تيرماه سخن خود را تغيير داده و همراه با مقامات قضايي و مجلس شوراي اسلامي تاکيد کرد که "جمهوري اسلامي گزارشگر ويژه حقوق بشر را نخواهد پذيرفت."
همزمان رامين مهمانپرست سخنگوي وزارت خارجهي جمهوري اسلامي نيز، در نشست هفتگي خود با خبرنگاران ادعا کرد، تعيين گزارشگر ويژهي حقوق بشر براي ايران "با اهداف سياسي و تحت فشارهاي کشورهاي غربي" انجام شده و اين موضوع خارج از قاعدهاي است که بايد براي همه کشورها به شکل طبيعي انجام شود بنابراين تعيين چنين افرادي از نظر ما قابل قبول نخواهد بود."

اخراج اشکان يزدچي از بازداشت شدگان وقايع ۶ دي از محل کار
اشکان يزدچي در پي تائيد محکوميتش از سوي دادگاه تجديد نظر استان تهران بر اساس حکم صادره از محل کار خود اخراج شد.
بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، وي که از بازداشت شدگان وقايع ششم دي ماه سال ۸۸ (عاشورا) است، پيشتر از سوي قاضي صلواتي به سه سال حبس تعزيري و محروميت دائمي از شغل دولتي محکوم شده بود از سوي دادگاه تجديد نظر به پنج سال حبس تعليقي و محروميت دائمي از داشتن شغل دولتي محکوم شد.
در پي اجراي حکم صادره وي که در يک شرکت وابسته به شهرداري تهران مشغول به کار بود به دستور نهادهاي امنيتي از محل کار خود اخراج شد. (هرانا – 7/4/90)
نقض حقوق اقليتهاي مذهبي و قومي
اخراج دو دانشجوي بهايي از دانشگاه قشم
«نورا سهرنگي» شهروند بهايي ساکن بندرعباس که در رشته حسابداري دانشگاه قشم در حال تحصيل بود توسط مسئولان دانشگاه به دليل بهايي بودن از شرکت در امتحانات پايان ترم، محروم و از دانشگاه مزبور اخراج شد.
همچنين به يک دانشجوي بهايي ديگر دانشگاه قشم به نام «آوا توکلي» که مشغول تحصيل در رشته کارشناسي بيهوشي ميباشد از طرف دفتر دانشگاه ابلاغ شده که در ترم ديگر ثبت نام نخواهد شد و از دانشگاه اخراج است.
گفتني است، بهائيان ايران پس از وقوع انقلاب اسلامي در ايران از ادامه تحصيل در مقاطع ليسانس محروم هستند. (هرانا – 7/4/90)

هشدار رادان به کساني که پس از جمعآوري ديش دوباره از آن استفاده ميکنند
جانشين فرمانده نيروي انتظامي جمهوري اسلامي ايران گفت: اصرار كنندگان به استفاده مجدد از تجهيزات ماهوارهاي به مراجعه قضايي معرفي ميشوند.
سردار احمدرضا رادان عصرسه شنبه در گفت وگو با خبرنگاران در شهركرد افزود : آنچه در اين مرحله مدنظر نيروي انتظامي است، برخورد با تجهيزات دريافت امواج ماهواره از جمله ديش هايي است كه در معرض ديد عموم قرار گرفته اند...
به گفته وي، در اين مرحله سوال هايي پيش آمد كه اگر پس از جمع آوري ديش ها برخي افراد، مجددا' اقدام به استفاده از اين تجهيزات كنند، تكليف چيست كه در اين زمينه نيروي انتظامي هشدار مي دهد در مرحله دوم با اخذ مجوز از مراجع قضايي، حكم ورود به منازل اخذ مي شود و اين افراد به عنوان تكرار جرم به محاكم قضايي معرفي خواهند شد. خشونت عليه زنان
رحيمي: ماموران راهنمايي و رانندگي حق برخورد با "بدحجابان " را دارند
برخورد با بدحجابان تنها به کوچه و خيابان ختم نمي شود و ماموران راهنمايي و رانندگي هم وظيفه دارند که در بزرگراهها با رانندگان و سرنشينان بدحجاب برخورد کنند.
اما سردار حسين رحيمي رئيس پليس راهنمايي و رانندگي تهران بزرگ مي گويد که برخورد با بدحجاب ها در خودروها هر ساله در دستور کار پليس راه بوده و امسال با دقت بيشتري انجام مي شود.البته پليس به هيچ عنوان در حريم خصوصي کسي مداخله نمي کند، اما خودرو حريم خصوصي نيست.
وي امر به معروف و نهي از منکر و ارشاد را از ديگر وظايف ماموران راهنمايي و رانندگي مي داند و مي افزايد: ماموران راهنمايي و رانندگي حق برخورد با بدحجابان را دارند.
پليس راهنمايي و رانندگي خودروي افراد بدحجاب را متوقف مي کند و با دادن برگه اي که روي آن نوشته شده"ابلاغيه تخلفات اجتماعي خودرويي" مشخصات خودرو را يادداشت مي کنند. در پشت اين برگه نوشته شده که متخلف اگر ظرف مدت 15 روز پس از صدور برگه به آدرس ميدان آرژانتين،خيابان خالداستانبولي،جنب پارک ساعي،دايره رسيدگي به امور خودرويي براي رسيدگي به تخلف خود مراجعه نکند اتومبيلش متوقف خواهد شد. کميته گزارشگران حقوق بشر- مهناز محمدي، مستندساز و فعال جنبش زنان بازداشت شد.
بنا به گزارش دريافتي، صبح امروز، مهناز محمدي، مستند ساز و فعال جنبش زنان در پي يورش نيروهاي امنيتي به خانهاش بازداشت شد. از هويت ماموران و علت بازداشت خبري در دست نيست. اخبار ديگر حاکي از انتقال اين فعال جنبش زنان و مريم مجد به بند دو- الف سپاه است.
مهناز محمدي، پيشتر نيز در جريان وقايع بعد از انتخابات در روز ۸ مرداد سال ۸۸ به همراه جعفر پناهي، رخساره قائم مقامي و جمعي ديگر از مستندسازان در بهشت زهراي تهران بازداشت شده بود. اين افراد به همراه گروهي از فيلمسازان و مستندسازان براي گذاشتن گل بر مزار کشتهشدگان وقايع پس از انتخابات رياست جمهوري در ايران به بهشت زهرا رفته بودند. وي همچنين در جريان تجمع ۱۳ سال ۱۳۸۶ اسفند فعالان زن، در اعتراض به فشارهاي امنيتي وارد شده و احضارهاي متعدد اين فعالان در مقابل دادگاه انقلاب نيز بازداشت شده بود.
مستند «زنان بدون سايه» از برجستهترين کارهاي مهناز محمدي است که به خاطر آن در ايران و خارج از ايران جوايز زيادي دريافت کرده است. وي اخيرا به همراه رخشان بني اعتماد، مستند «ما نيمي از جمعيت ايران هستيم» را درباره مطالبات زنان در انتخابات رياست جمهوري ساخته است.
مريم مجد، تنها عکاس تخصصي حوزه ورزشي ايران نيز که جمعه هفته گذشته قصد داشت براي همکاري هاي خبري مشترک با پترا لندرز، بازيکن سابق تيم ملي فوتبال زنان آلمان، ايران را به مقصد آلمان ترک کند، با ممانعت نيروهاي امنيتي حکومت ايران در فرودگاه امام خميني تهران مواجه شده و بلافاصله نيز بازداشت شده و خبرها حاکي از نامساعد بودن حال وي در زندان اوين است. احمد خاتمي: زنها حق ندارند به تماشاي مسابقات شنا و کشتي بنشينند
سيد احمد خاتمي، عضو مجلس خبرگان ايران و همچنين از روحانيون طرفدار دولت،در جديدترين اظهارنظر با بيان اينکه حتي برنامههاي ورزشي و علمي ماهواره هم با جاذبه … است تأکيد کرد: «زنها حق ندارند به تماشاي مسابقات شنا و کشتي که از سيماي ملي پخش ميشود بنشينند» ..
احمد خاتمي: اينجا ميخواهم تأکيد کنم بر زنان هم حرام است که نگاه آلوده به نامحرم داشته باشند. زنها حق ندارند که فيلم کشتي که در تلويزيون گذاشته ميشود ببينند اين تصريح فتواي مراجع است. حق ندارند فيلم شنا که در تلويزيون گذاشته ميشود در تلويزيون، شناگران مرد شنا ميکنند، زنها ببينند اين حرام است. تصريح کردهاند مراجع عاليقدر تقليد.
نفرماييد خب چرا تلويزيون ميگذارد! تلويزيون فيلمهاي ورزشي را ميگذارد و قرار هم نيست که هر برنامهاي را هر کسي ببيند.. اما سخن اين است تکليف اين خانمي که پاي تلويزيون نشسته اين است که وقتي فيلم کشتي جوانان و غير جوانان را ميگذارند نگاه نکند».(دانشجو نيوز – 9/4/90)
