Mohammad-Ali Dadkhah, lawyer and spokesperson of the Center of Human Rights Defenders has been sentenced to 10 years of prison, a 10 year ban on teaching at university, flogging and a fine by a court of first instance.
Mr. Dadkhah confirmed this report and said, “According to the court ruling sentence, I was sentenced to a 10 year ban on practicing law, eight years of prison on charges of [intending to] softly topple [the government] and being the spokesperson of the Center of Human Rights Defenders, one year of prison for propagating against the government and Islamic Republic and also flogging and a number of fines”.

آقاي دادخواه ضمن تاييد اين خبر در گفت و گو با بي بي سي فارسي گفت: "بر اساس اين حکم من به ده سال ممنوعيت از وکالت در دادگستري، هشت سال زندان به علت براندازي نرم و سخنگويي کانون مدافعان حقوق بشر ، يک سال زندان به علت تبليغ عليه نظام و جمهوري اسلامي و همچنين به شلاق و چند فقره جزاي نقدي محکوم شده ام."
