Jailed labor activist’s daughter in law loses baby after abduction and torture by regime forces

Mrs. Osalu announced this and said, “My daughter in law was two months pregnant and we were totally unaware of this issue. She had severe bleeding because of the attack and when we looked into this issue, we realized that she was two months pregnant and unfortunately, she lost the baby”.

Mansour Osalu is the head of the Union of Workers of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company and is one of the most well known labor activists in Iran who has been sentenced to 5 years of prison on security charges. Now, while Osalu has served four years of his prison term, his young daughter in law was arrested and beaten in an unknown location according to her family and after being threatened not to disclose this issue, was dumped under the Seyed Khandan Bridge

خانواده منصور اسانلو، خواستار پي گيري قانوني بازداشت و ضرب و شتم عروس جوان اين خانواده شدند. خانم اسانلو، در مصاحبه با روز ضمن اعلام اين خبرهمچنين گفت: عروس من دو ماهه باردار بود و ما اين قضيه کاملا بي اطلاع بوديم.او در اثر اين حمله به شدت دچار خونريزي شده و وقتي پي گيري کرديم متوجه شديم دو ماهه باردار بوده و جنين متاسفانه سقط شد.
منصور اسانلو، رئيس هيات مديره سنديكاي کارگران شركت واحد اتوبرسراني ايران و از سرشناس ترين فعالان کارگري ايران است که با اتهاماتي امنيتي به تحمل 5 سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شده است.
اکنون و در حاليکه آقاي اسانلو، چهارمين سال زندان خود را پشت سر مي گذارد، عروس جوان او براساس اعلام خانواده اش، بازداشت و در مکاني نامعلوم مورد ضرب و شتم قرار گرفته و پس از تهديد براي عدم افشاي اين قضيه، در پل سيد خندان رها شده است. (روز آنلاين – 6/4/89)

Zeinab Jalalian,Kurd female prisoner on verge of execution

Last week the case of Zeinab Jalalian, a death row political prisoner was sent to the Sentence Implementation Department for permission to carry out the sentence. According to the court verdict, Jalalian was convicted of moharebeh (enmity with God) and sentenced to death for being a member of a dissident party and propagandist activities. Zeinab was tried without a lawyer in a court which lasted only a few minutes. Her case which was confirmed in a court of review a short time ago, was also upheld by the Supreme Court and sent to the Sentence Implementation Department. Jalalian is a political activist from Maku who has been jailed for two years on charges of Moharebeh and cooperating with the Kurdistan Independent Life Party (PJAK).

زينب جلاليان در آستانه اعدام
هفته ي پيش پرونده ي زينب جلاليان متهم محکوم به اعدام براي گرفتن استيذان جهت اجراي آن به دايره ي اجراي حکم فرستاده شده است .بر اساس راي دادگاه متهم به دليل عضويت در يکي از احزاب مخالف نظام و فعاليت تبليغي مشمول محاربه شناخته و به مرگ محکوم شده است. دادگاه رسيدگي به اتهامات زينب جلاليان بدون حضور وکيل مدافع برگزار شده و تنها چند دقيقه به طول انجاميده است.پرونده زينب جلاليان ،که چندي پيش حکم اعدامش دردادگاه تجديد نظر نيز تاييد شد بود ،به ديوان عالي کشور فرستاده شد،که در ديوان عالي نيز همان حکم تاييد؛وبه دايره ي اجراي احکام فرستاده شده است .
زينب جلاليان، فعال سياسي اهل ماکو که از دو سال پيش در زندان به سر مي‌برد، به اتهام محاربه و همکاري با گروه کرد پژاک در دادگاه بدوي و تجديد نظر به اعدام محکوم شده بود. (سازمان ضد اعدام کردستان – 6/4/89)

Iran shoots and kills 14 year-old Kurd boy

A 14-year-old boy was fatally shot by security forces in Kurdistan.
On June 25, Friday night security forces in the Doli Darmanavi region in Sardasht opened fire on a group of traders.
Zaniar Ibrahimi, 14, from the Faqih Khadrian Village was fatally shot as a result. Last Wednesday night, another group of traders were ambushed by security forces in Marivan and two traders identified as Yadollah Berazi, 24, and Suran Amini were severely wounded.

يک نواجوان 14 ساله کرد توسط نيروهاي انتظامي رژيم کشته شد
در ادامه کشتار کاسبکاران کرد در مناطق مرزي کردستان، اين بار يک نوجوان 14 ساله از سوي نيروهاي نظامي مورد اصابت گلوله قرار گرفته و جان خود را از دست داد.
به گزارش خبرگزاري کردستان، شامگاه جمعه، چهارم تيرماه نيروهاي انتظامي در منطقه‏ي "دولي درماناوي" از توابع "هومل" سردشت، گروهي از کاسبکاران را به رگبار بستند.
بر اثر اين حمله نوجواني 14 ساله به نام زانيار ابراهيمي، فرزند محمد، اهل روستاي "فقيه خدريان" منطقه‌‏ي "باسکي کوله سه" هدف گلوله قرار گرفت و جان خود را از دست داد.
شامگاه چهارشنبه هفته گذشته، گروه ديگري از کاسبکاران در کمين نيروهاي نظامي پاسگاه "ئاسن ئاوا" ي مريوان قرار گرفته و بر اثر تيراندازي اين نيروها دو تن از کاسبکاران به اسامي "يدالله برازي" 24 ساله و "سوران اميني" به شدت زخمي شدند. (کرديش پرسپکتيو – 5/4/89)

Majid Tavakoli Suffering from Severe Abdominal Bleeding

HRANA – Majid Tavakoli, renowned student activist, is suffering from a severe case of abdominal bleeding while detained in Evin prison. Tavakoli’s physical condition is rapidly deteriorating and prison officials have not yet taken him to the hospital.

According to reports by HRANA, Tavakoli, who was recently transferred to ward 350 at Evin, a ward void of medical facilities, was suffering from a severe cough that led to abdominal bleeding. In the past week, Tavakoli has also suffered from continuous nose bleeds. Prison officials have ignored Tavakoli’s deteriorating health, despite concerns raised by other prison mates.

During a short interview with HRANA, Ali Tavakoli announced that his brother’s physical condition is dire and stems from a lung infection that began as a result of his dry hunger strike and the difficult conditions while he endured while he was detained in solitary confinement in ward 240 of Evin prison.

Based on a very short 30 second phone conversation with her son, Tavakoli’s mother also described his condition as dire and expressed much concern for his wellbeing. Majid informed his mother during this last phone conversation that it is very probable that he will not be able to make any phone contact in the foreseeable future.

It is highly likely that Tavakoli’s condition worsened as a result of the current construction efforts and over crowding in ward 350, which forced prisoners to sleep in corridors. In addition the lack of proper and timely medical treatment, the poor quality and insufficient amount of food and the temporary shutting off of gas and water led to extreme conditions and further distress of the prisoners held in this ward.

In the past week reports surfaced by various news agencies that the prisoners in ward 350 have been forced into labor as a result of the construction efforts.

Majid Tavakoli, a former student at Amirkabir University in Tehran was arrested and sentenced to eight and a half years in prison since his arrest on December 7, 2009.

هرانا؛ مجید توکلی دچار خونریزی شدید معده شدسه شنبه 08 تیر 1389

خبرگزاری هرانا – مجید توکلی، فعال سرشناس دانشجویی در زندان دچار خونریزی شدید معده شده؛ مسئولان وی را تاکنون به بیمارستان منتقل نکردند و بر همین اساس وضعیت سلامتی وی وخیم است.
بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، آقای توکلی که به تازگی به بند 350 زندان اوین که فاقد هرگونه امکانات پزشکی می باشد، منتقل شده بر اثر سرفه های شدید و عدم رسیدگی پزشکی دچار خونریزی شده است.
وی طی یک هفته ی اخیر مکررا دچار خون دماغ شده بود اما مسئولان زندان در برابر خواسته ی دیگر زندانیان مبنی بر رسیدگی به وضعیت حاد این زندانی سیاسی بی تفاوت بودند.
علی توکلی، در مصاحبه ی کوتاهی با گزارشگر هرانا، حال برادر خود را بسیار وخیم گزارش کرده است و مشکل ایشان را مربوط به بیماری ریه ای که به دلیل شرایط سخت زندان و خصوصا اعتصاب غذا در سلول انفرادی 240 به آن مبتلا شده بود، عنوان کرده است.
مادر آقای توکلی براساس تماسی 30 ثانیه ای که با فرزند دربند خود داشته است، وضعیت وی را بسیار بد توصیف کرده و نگران وی شده است؛ مجید در این تماس یادآور شده که ممکن است تا چندی موفق به برقراری تماس با ایشان نشود.
به نظر می رسد تشدید بیماری وی در اثر عمليات ساختماني و ازدحام بيش از حد زندانيان در بند 350 – خوابيدن در راهرو ها و كريدور – به وجود آمده است. وضعيت اسفبار بهداشتي، عدم درمان مناسب و به موقع، نامناسب و بي كيفيت بودن غداهاي اين بند، قطع گاز و آب براي مدتي محبوسين را دچار مشكلات جدي كرده است.
در هفته گذشته اخباری مبنی بر بیگاری زندانیان محبوس در بند 350، به دلیل ساخت و ساز در درون زندان از سوی خبرگزاری های مختلف منتشر شده است.
مجید توکلی، دانشجوی کشتی سازی دانشگاه پلی تکنیک تهران از 16 آذر ماه سال گذشته تاکنون در زندان به سر می برد و با حکم سنگین هشت و نیم سال حبس تعزیری مواجه است.

According to reports, Arash Sadeqi, a student activist from Alameh Tabatabayi University who is also a member of the Youth Branch of the Participation Front was sentenced to six years of prison and 74 lashes by the 26th branch of the Revolutionary Court on charges of assembling and conspiring against the government and spreading propaganda against the government.
Arash Sadeqi was sentenced to 3 years of prison for a previous case related to Student Day events and his current sentence is related to his arrest on Ashura (December 27, 2009).Arash Sadeqi told his friends on his New Years leave from prison that he was beaten and that he sustained injuries in his right shoulder for the second time

محکوميت مجدد آرش صادقي به حبس و شلاق
بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، آرش صادقي فعال دانشجويي دانشگاه علامه طباطبايي و از اعضاي جوانان حزب مشارکت از سوي شعبه 26 دادگاه انقلاب به اتهام اجتماع و تباني عليه نظام و تبليغ عليه نظام به 6 سال حبس تعزيري و 74 ضربه شلاق محکوم شد.
لازم به ذکر است که آرش صادقي در پرونده پيشين خود که مربوط به وقايع سالگرد 18 تير ماه بوده است به 3 سال حبس محکوم شد و حکم فعلي در خصوص بازداشت وي در روز عاشورا صادر شده است.
گفتني است، آرش صادقي در ايام مرخصي نوروزي در گفتگو با دوستانش از ضرب و شتم شديد خود در زندان خبر داده بود تا جايي كه دوبار كتف راستش آسيب ديده بود. (هرانا – 2/4/89)

Iran top human rights official: flogging is not torture

According to the Secretary of the Human Rights Staff of the Judiciary, methods like flogging have been considered torture in the Human Rights Conference while according to Islamic rules, flogging is a punishment and not torture. He also said that according to the constitution, torture in banned in Iran and therefore there is no torture in Iran, only punishment

لاريجاني: شلاق شکنجه نيست، مجازات است
به گفتۀ دبير ستاد حقوق بشر قوۀ قضاييۀ ايران، ابزارهايي نظير " شلاق" در نشست شوراي حقوق بشر شکنجه تلقي شده است در حالي که بر طبق قوانين اسلامي ايران، شلاق يک مجازات است و نه شکنجه. وي حتي به قانون اساسي استناد کرده و بر اساس آن شکنجه در ايران را ممنوع دانسته است و نتيجه گيري مي کند که بر همين اساس، در ايران مجازات وجود دارد و نه شکنجه. Police ‘deal with’ students labeling them as ‘troublemakers’

Three students of the Central Tehran Unit of the Free University were insulted and humiliated and temporarily arrested on charges of ‘harassing women’ while they were talking in their car.
Criminal records for harassing women were filed for these three students who are political activists in the Free University. These students who went to the Central Tehran Unit with a science committee scholarship are forced to go to the free university in their original cities.

پليس به بهانه ي برخورد با مزاحمين نواميس با دانشجوبان برخورد مي کند!
سه دانشجوي دانشگاه آزاد واحد تهران مرکز، ظهر روز گذشته، در حالي که در ماشين شخصي خود مشغول بحث بوده‌اند از طرف نيروهاي امنيتي با توهين و تحقير و به جرم مزاحمت براي نواميس براي مدتي بازداشت شدند.
براي اين دانشجويان که هر سه از فعالان صنفي و سياسي دانشگاه آزاد به شمار مي‌روند و پوششي کاملا مناسب فضاي دانشگاه داشتند، پرونده‌اي با جرم مزاحمت براي نواميس تشکيل شد.به گزارش جرس، اين دانشجويان که با سهميه هيات علمي، در دانشگاه آزاد تهران تحصيل مي‌کردند با تشکيل اين پرونده مجبور به بازگشت به مبدا هستند و عملا به اين روش از فضاي دانشگاه خود دور مي‌شوند.
