Dr. Hossein Seifzadeh, a professor of international relations at Tehran University’s School of Law and Political Science was expelled from this university on Monday evening after receiving an announcement for his forced early retirement.
In the beginning of this week, the university’s Protection Department and the head of this university had corresponded with him in this regard, but all Tehran University students and professors were surprised that the final sentence for his expulsion was announced to him on Monday.
Seyed Hossein Seifzadeh has a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Santa Barbara and a postdoctoral degree from Harvard University.

ابلاغ حکم بازنشستگي اجباري حسين سيف‌زاده، استاد دانشگاه تهران
دکتر حسين سيف‌زاده استاد روابط بين الملل دانشکده حقوق و علوم سياسي دانشگاه تهران، عصر روز دوشنبه با ابلاغ مستقيم حکم بازنشستگي اجباري به طور قطعي از دانشگاه تهران اخراج گرديد.
بنا بر اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، اوايل هفته جاري مکاتباتي با اين استاد در اين خصوص از سوي حراست و همچنين رياست دانشگاه تهران صورت گرفته بود ولي در کمال ناباوري تمامي دانشجويان و اساتيد دانشگاه تهران، حکم قطعي اين استاد در عصر روز دوشنبه به وي ابلاغ گرديد.
سيد حسين سيف‌زاده داراي مدرک دکتراى علوم سياسى از دانشگاه سانتاباربارا کاليفرنيا و فوق دکتراى علوم سياسى از دانشگاه هاروارد است. (هرانا – 18/12/89)
