According to reports, interrogators of the Intelligence Agency are preventing the medical treatment of jailed student Ali Ajami who is suffering from severe sinusitis.
This Tehran University law student was arrested during the post-election protests after intelligence agents raided his home. He is currently detained in complete isolation in Hall 12 Cellblock 4 in the Gohardasht Prison in Karaj. He has been suffering from a severe case of sinusitis for several weeks and has severe pain in his face, eyes and is suffering from fever and shakes. Despite his severe pain, he has been denied medical attention.
Ajami has also been banned from family visit and making phone calls to his family. His family is extremely worried because of their lack of information regarding his condition.
Notably, Ajami was arrested on February 9, 2010 in his father’s home in Sabzevar in Mashhad and was taken to the Mashhad Intelligence Agency where he was subjected to severe physical and mental torture. He was then transferred to cellblock 209 in Evin Prison and was kept in a state or limbo for months in cellblock 350. After eight months, he was sentenced to four years of prison to be served in Gohardasht Prison in Karaj by the 15th branch of the Revolutionary Court headed by (the notorious judge) Salavati. This Tehran University student was charged with propagating against the government and acting against national security. His four year prison term was lowered to 2 years of prison by the 54th branch of the court of review.

وضعيت حاد جسمي دانشجوي زنداني علي عجمي در زندان گوهردشت کرج
بنا به گزارشات رسيده به "فعالين حقوق بشر و دموکراسي در ايران " بازجويان وزارت اطلاعات از درمان دانشجوي زنداني علي عجمي که مبتلا به سينوزيت حاد است ممانعت مي کنند.
علي عجمي دانشجوي رشته حقوق دانشگاه تهران در جريان اعتراضات گسترده مردم ايران با يورش مأمورين وزارت اطلاعات به منزلشان دستگيرو در حال حاضر در سالن کاملا ايزوله شده 12 بند 4 زندان گوهردشت کرج زنداني است. او چند هفته است که از بيماري حاد سينوزيت ( عفونت سينوس ها) رنج مي برد . علائم اين بيماري شامل درد شديد در تمام ناحيه صورت به خصوص چشم ها ، تورم صورت ، تب و لرز مي باشد.عليرغم شرايط حاد و دردهاي شديد بازجويان وزارت اطلاعات مانع درمان وي هستند.
از طرفي ديگر اين دانشجوي زنداني از داشتن ملاقات با خانواده اش بدليل مسافت طولاني و محدوديتهاي قرون وسطايي موجود محروم است و ارتباط تلفني آنها با خانواده هايشان همچنان قطع مي باشد ، عدم اطلاع خانواده از عزيزشان باعث نگراني شديد آنها شده است.
لازم به يادآوري است علي عجمي دانشجوي حقوق دانشگاه تهران در20 بهمن سال 88 با يورش وحشيانه مأمورين وزارت اطلاعات به منزل پدري اش در سبزوار دستگير و به اداره اطلاعات مشهد برده شد. در اداره اطلاعات مشهد مورد شديدترين شکنجه هاي جسمي و روحي قرار گرفت. سپس به بند 209 زندان اوين منتقل و تحت بازجويي و شکنجه هاي جسمي و روحي بازجويان وزارت اطلاعات قرار گرفت. او بيش از 2 ماه در سلولهاي انفرادي بند 209 و ماهها بلاتکيف در بند 350 زندان اوين زنداني بود. پس از 8 ماه بلاتکليفي در شعبه 15 دادگاه انقلاب توسط صلواتي معروف به قاضي مرگ محاکمه و به 4 سال زندان و تبعيد به زندان گوهردشت کرج محکوم گرديد. اتهامات وي تبليغ عليه نظام و اقدام عليه امنيت نظام عنوان شده بود. حکم 4 سال زندان وي در شعبه 54 دادگاه تجديد نظر توسط موحد به دو سال حبس تقليل يافت.
