Iran sentences journalist to more than 2 years of prison

Shahin Zinali was sentenced to two years and 91 days of prison on June 16 by the 26th branch of the Revolutionary Court headed by Judge Pir-Abbasi.
According to reports, he was sentenced to two years of prison for assembling and conspiring against the security of the country by being a member of the Pan-Iranian Party and 91 days of prison for propagandist activities against the state by participating in illegal gatherings which led to sedition and giving interviews to foreign media. He was also sentenced to a fine of 1 million and 500,000 rials (about $10,000).




دو سال و نود و يک روز حبس تعزيري براي شاهين زينعلي
صبح روز چهارشنبه 26 خردادماه، شاهين زيعلي از سوي شعبه 26 دادگاه انقلاب به رياست قاضي پيرعباسي، به دو سال و نود و يک روز حبس تعزيري محکوم کرد.
بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، حکم صادره در خصوص اين روزنامه نگار و فعال سياسي حاکي از 2 سال حبس به جهت اجتماع و تباني عليه امنيت کشور از طريق عضويت در حزب پان ايرانيست، 91 روز حبس به جهت فعاليت تبليغي عليه نظام از طريق شرکت در تجمعات غير قانوني منجر به اغتشاش، و مصاحبه با رسانه هاي بيگانه و پرداخت مبلغ يک ميليون و پانصد هزار ريال جزاي نقدي مي باشد.
