Iran sentences tortured lawyer of woman sentenced to stoning to 11 years of prison

Agents of the Intelligence Agency have put pressure on this lawyer in interrogations in addition to the physical tortures by using his previous case when he was expelled from university and detained on charges of apostasy in relation to a book he wrote in 1993, his links to the case of Shahram Jazayeri and also the fact that his father was executed by the firing square in 1980.
According to reports, some of the tortures used on him are as follows:
1- He was forced to wear plastic shorts and was burned with cigarettes more than 40 times on his legs, upper arms and neck. The signs of these burns are clearly evident on his body.
2- His nose and 10 ribs were broken
3- He was given one meal a day for four months and lost 51 kilograms (112 pounds) during this time.
4- His clothes were soaked with water and he was kept outside in freezing cold temperatures.
5- His prison shopping card was blocked after he was transferred to the public cellblock and he cannot provide his needs from the prison store.
After more than one month of torture in solitary cells until November 14, 2010 in cellblock 209 in Evin Prison, he was once again transferred to a solitary cell in the Tabriz Intelligence Agency…
He was sentenced to one year of prison and a five year ban on practicing law on charges of propagating against the government, three years of prison on charges of assembling and conspiring to disrupt the internal security of the country and another three years on charges of acting against national security by the first branch of the Tabriz Revolutionary Court. The 15th branch of the Tehran Revolutionary Court sentenced him to another four years of prison and his espionage charge is still under investigation.
According to report, Mr. Houtan Kian has been denied the right to see his lawyer and family and his bank account has still not been opened while his confiscated personal belongings and automobile are still in the hands of the Ministry of Intelligence.
Mr. Kian is currently detained in cellblock 8 in Tabriz Prison and is unable to eat properly because of digestive problems as a result of torture. He also uses strong pills and has convulsion when put under pressure.

محکوميت هوتن کيان، وکيل دادگستري به ۱۱ سال حبس تعزيري

هوتن کيان وکيل پايه يک دادگستري در تاريخ يک‌شنبه ۱۸ مهر ۱۳۸۹ برابر با دهم اکتبر سال ۲۰۱۰ در دفتر خود به هنگام ملاقات با دو خبرنگار آلماني و پسر سکينه آشتياني زن محکوم به سنگسار توسط نيروهاي اطلاعاتي و امنيتي استان آذربايجان شرقي بازداشت شدند...

ماموران وزارت اطلاعات ضمن اعمال شکنجه‌هاي روحي و جسمي بر آقاي هوتن کيان، پرونده سابق وي در ماجراي اخراج از دانشگاه و حبس وي به اتهام ارتداد که در ارتباط با نگارش کتابي در اين خصوص در سال ۱۳۷۲ بوده و نيز ارتباط وي در پرونده‌اي با آقاي شهرام جزايري و نيز سابقه تيرباران پدرش توسط سيدحسين موسوي تبريزي درسال ۱۳۵۹ را مستمسک افزايش فشار بر ايشان در هنگام بازجويي قرار مي‌دهند.

بنا‌به گزارشات دريافتي، شکنجه‌هاي اعمال شده بر ايشان به‌صورت عمده در موارد ذيل برجسته مي‌شود:

۱- پوشانيدن شورت پلاستيکي و و سوزاندن بيش از ۴۰ سيگار در اطراف پا‌ها، بازو‌ها و گردن وي که جاي آنها به‌وضوح قابل رويت است.

۲- شکستن بيش از ده عدد دندان و بيني ايشان.

۳- دادن يک وعده غذا در طول شبانه روز به مدت ۴ ماه، که موجب کاهش وزن وي به ميزان ۵۱ کيلوگرم طي اين مدت شده است.

۴- خيس کردن لباسهاي وي در هواي سرد و نگهداري در محيط بيرون و غيره.

۵- مسدود کردن کارت خريد زندان که پس از انتقال ايشان به بند عمومي صورت گرفته و در عمل امکان خريد وسايل مورد نياز ايشان از فروشگاههاي زندان را از وي سلب مي‌کند.

نامبرده پس از تحمل بيش از يک ماه انفرادي و شکنجه‌هاي روحي و جسمي مختلف تا مورخه ۱۳۸۹/۰۸/۲۳ در بند ۲۰۹ اوين بوده و پس از اين تاريخ دوباره به سلول انفرادي اداره اطلاعات تبريز منتقل مي‌شود...

وي از سوي شعبه اول دادگاه انقلاب تبريز به اتهام تبليغ عليه نظام به يک سال حبس و ۵ سال محروميت از وکالت، به اتهام اجتماع و تباني جهت اخلال در امنيت داخلي به سه سال حبس و به اتهام اقدام عليه امنيت ملي به ۳ سال حبس تعزيري و در مجموع به ۷ سال حبس تعزيري و از سوي شعبه ۱۵ دادگاه انقلاب تهران به ۴ سال حبس تعزيري محکوم شده است و اتهام جاسوسي ايشان نيز در دست بررسي است.

قابل ذکر است، بنا‌به اطلاعات کسب شده، آقاي هوتن کيان تا‌کنون از حق ملاقات با وکيل، خانواده محروم بوده است و علي رغم گذشت مدت مذکور حسابهاي بانکي وي، وسايل ضبط شده از ايشان از جمله اتومبيل شخصي هم‌چنان در دست وزارت اطلاعات قرار دارد.

در حال حاضر آقاي کيان در بند ۸ زندان تبريز به‌سر مي‌برد در حالي که نامبرده به‌دليل شکنجه‌هاي جسمي امکان تغذيه مناسب را به‌دليل اخلال در دستگاه گوارشي ندارد و همينطور بر اثر آسيب‌هاي وارده ناچار است از قرص‌هاي اعصاب قوي استفاده مي‌کند و در صورت اعمال فشار نيز دچار تشنج مي‌شود. (هرانا -24/2/1390)
