Jailed lawyer’s husband and lawyer threatened with arrest

The husband and lawyer of jailed lawyer Nasrin Sutodeh were threatened by the Ministry of Intelligence that if they talk to the media about Sutodeh’s case, they will be arrested.
“Yesterday, the Intelligence Agency called Ms. Ghanavi (Sutodeh’s lawyer) and said that they have an arrest warrant issued for her and me and that if we give interviews they will arrest us both”, Sutodeh’s husband Reza Khandan said.
“Today when she went to court to look into Nasrin’s case, they confirmed this issue and once again reiterated this”, he added.
The husband of this jailed lawyer said that Sutodeh stressed in a phone call from prison that she is being kept in a suitable place and does not have any problems but that she is in a solitary cell.
Nasrin Sutodeh also told her daughter that she will be detained for a long time.
Sutodeh was arrested on September 4 and has only been allowed one short phone call with her family since her arrest.

تهديد وکيل و همسر نسرين ستوده به بازداشت
رضا خندان، همسر نسرين ستوده، وکيل زنداني و نسيم غنوي، وکيل او از سوي وزارت اطلاعات تهديد شده‌اند که اگر در مورد پرونده نسرين ستوده با رسانه‌ها مصاحبه کنند، دستگير خواهند شد.
رضا خندان مي‌گويد: «ديروز (۲۱ شهريور( از طرف وزارت اطلاعات با خانم غنوي تماس گرفته و گفته‌اند حکم جلب شما و آقاي خندان صادر شده و اگر مصاحبه کنيد، شما دو نفر دستگير خواهيد شد. امروز هم که ايشان براي پيگيري پرونده نسرين به دادسرا رفتند، اين گفته را تاييد کرده‌اند و در آنجا هم همين را به ايشان گفته‌اند».
همسر اين وکيل گفت که خانم ستوده در تماس تلفني‌اش اصرار داشته که مکان نگهداري‌اش خوب است و مشکل خاصي ندارد ولي در سلول انفرادي نگهداري مي‌شود.
نسرين ستوده همچنين به دخترش گفته که مدت طولاني در بازداشت خواهد بود.
نسرين ستوده در تاريخ ۱۳ شهريور ماه بازداشت شد و تا به امروز تنها يک تماس تلفني کوتاه مدت با خانواد‌ه‌اش داشته است. (دويچه وله – 22/6/89)
