The 26th Branch of the Revolutionary Court issued its verdict against Shiva Nazar Ahari early this morning. Shiva Nazar Ahari, journalist and human rights activist was sentenced to 76 lashings and 6 years imprisonment at Izeh prison a remote city in province of Kurdistan, by the Revolutionary Court's 26th branch under the supervision of Judge Pir Abassi. Nazar Ahari intends to fight this verdict in the courts of law.
According to Kaleme, the 26th branch of the Revolutionary Court issued its verdict against journalist and human rights activist, Shiva Nazar Ahari, early this morning. Nazar Ahari intends to fight this verdict in the courts of law.
This 26 year old human rights activist who has been incarcerated in Evin prison for a year was sentenced by the court with charges of being a Mohareb (Enemy of God), colluding against the national security of the country, disturbing public order and propaganda against the regime.
Shiva Nazar Ahari, journalist and member of the Committee of Human Rights Reporters, has spent more than 100 days in solitary confinement during her one year imprisonment. She was arrested in 2009 and transferred to Evin prison one day after the controversial elections. Nazar Ahari was later temporarily released after 3 months on a twenty thousand dollar bail. She was rearrested and sent to prison on December 20th, 2009 on her way to attending the funeral services being held for Ayatollah Montazeri in the city of Qom.
Nazar Ahari was recently granted temporary release from jail based on a fifty thousand dollar bail and is currently free.

شیوا نظرآهاری به شش سال حبس، تبعید به زندان ایذه و ۷۶ ضربه شلاق محکوم شد
کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر - شیوا نظرآهاری فعال حقوق بشر و عضو کمیته‌ی گزارشگران حقوق بشر، به ۷۶ ضربه شلاق، شش سال حبس همراه با تبعید به زندان ایذه محکوم شد.
حکم صادره از سوی قاضی پیرعباسی در شعبه بیست و شش دادگاه انقلاب تهران به وی ابلاغ شده است. شیوا نظرآهاری در تاریخ ۲۹ آذر ۸۸ زمانی که به همراه تعدادی از فعالین مدنی و حقوق بشری قصد شرکت در مراسم تدفین آیت الله منتظری را داشت بازداشت شد. وی سرانجام هفته‌ی گذشته و پس از نزدیک به یک سال بازداشت در زندان اوین با تودیع وثیقه‌ی ۵۰۰ میلیون تومانی آزاد شده بود.
این عضو کمیته گزارشگران حقوق بشر در دادگاه به اتهام محاربه، تبانی و اجتماع برعلیه امنیت ملی، اخلال در نظم عمومی و تبلغ علیه نظام محاکمه شده بود. در حال حاضر کوهیار گودرزی، دیگر عضو کمیته‌ی گزارشگران حقوق بشر از ۲۹ آذر‌ماه سال گذشته بدون حتی یک روز مرخصی در زندان اوین در حال سپری کردن دوران یک سال محکومیت خود است
