Iran admits to arresting Iranian movie star

The Tehran Prosecutor’s Office confirmed the arrest of Pegah Ahangarani and said that investigations into this issue were ongoing.
“Pegah Ahangarani was arrested last week and investigations into her case are ongoing”, an official in the Tehran Prosecutor’s Office said in an interview with ISNA. [Islamic Students News Agency]
This official said that further explanations would be given after the completion of investigations.
According to reports, Pegah Ahangarani intended to go to Germany [before her arrest]. She is the daughter of Manijeh Hakim [actress] and Jamshid Ahangarani [Iranian director] the movie ‘Gentlemen are Banned from Entering’ featuring Pegah Ahangarani is currently playing in movie theaters in Iran.

دادستاني تهران با تاييد بازداشت «پگاه آهنگراني» از ادامه تحقيقات در اين باره خبر داد.

يك مقام قضايي در دادستاني تهران در گفت‌وگو با ايسنا در اين باره اظهاركرد: پگاه آهنگراني اوايل هفته‌ي گذشته دستگير شده و تحقيقات درباره‌ي پرونده او هم‌چنان ادامه داد.

اين مقام مسوول ارايه توضيحات بيشتر در اين باره را به تكميل تحقيقات موكول كرد.

به گزارش ايسنا، «پگاه آهنگراني» قصد سفر به كشور آلمان را داشته است. او فرزند منيژه حكمت و جمشيد آهنگراني است و هم اكنون فيلم «ورود آقايان ممنوع» با بازي اين بازيگر زن ايراني در سينما‌هاي كشور در حال اكران است. (عصر ايران - 27/4/90)
