Judiciary spokesman says 45 people executed in Iran in last 4 months; actresses arrested on orders of security institutions

Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejeyi said in his 16th press conference, “The Judiciary is determined to seriously deal with violent and special crimes such as rape, kidnappings and [forced sexual assault] which disrupts the security of the society”.
“In the first four months of the [Persian] year, 54 people were sentenced to the maximum punishment in regard to special crimes and 45 of them have been hanged in public or prison”, the spokesman of the Judiciary added…
Mohseni Ejeyi also announced that [actresses] Pegah Ahangarani and Marzieh Vafayi Mehr were arrested upon the request of a security institution. He said that initial investigations had ended and that these two would soon be released.

به گزارش خبرنگار مهر، غلامحسين محسني اژه اي بعداز ظهر دوشنبه در شانزدهمين نشست خبري خود اظهار داشت: قوه قضائيه مصمم است با جرايم خشن و خاص همانند تجاوز، آدم ربايي و تجاوز به عنف که امنيت جامعه را مختل مي کند به صورت جدي برخورد کند...

سخنگوي قوه قضائيه گفت: طي چهار ماه نخست امسال 54 نفر در خصوص جرايم خاص به اشد مجازات محکوم شدند که 45 نفر از آنها به دار مجازات در ملاء عام و در زندان آويخته شدند...

محسني اژه اي همچنين اعلام کرد که پگاه آهنگراني و مرضيه وفايي مهر به درخواست يک نهاد امنيتي بازداشت شدند ،او همچنين اعلام کرد که تحقيقات مقدماتي تکميل شده و اين دو نفر به زودي آزاد مي شوند. (خبرگزاري مهر -3/5/90)
