A member of the special parliamentary committee for the pursuit of post-election incidents said that announcing the names of those who have been sentenced to death in the Kahrizak case at this time is against the law. (The two men were convicted of affiliations in the death of post-election protesters in Kahrizak in an Iranian court)…
In answer to a question on whether the names of these convicts would be announced when their sentences are finalized Farhad Tajari said, “That depends on the decision of the authorities and if relevant authorities think it suitable, the names of the convicts will be given to the media but publishing them at this time is against the law”… It is not clear why Farhad Tajari says that Kahrizak convicts’ names cannot be announced when their sentences have not been confirmed while the names of many people who are accused of fabricated charges by the Judiciary are not kept hidden.
