63 year old hunger striking political prisoner in critical condition denied treatment
It has been eight days that the medical team in Evin Prison has not checked on jailed journalist Keivan Samimi who is on his 22nd day of hunger strike.
According to reports, he is being denied treatment on orders of prison officials especially the head of Evin Prison Sedaqat and Bozorgnia, the head of cellblock 350.
Samimi’s family is very concerned for his health and has asked all judicial officials especially the Tehran Prosecutor to pay immediate attention to his condition.
This jailed journalist is in his 22nd day of hunger strike and is in very poor health. Samimi is 63 years old and in light of his age the lack of treatment can be very dangerous for his health. (Kalameh Website – Aug. 17, 2010)

Jailed kickboxing instructor becomes paralyzed in prison as result of torture

Hossein Armin, a kickboxing instructor was arrested after police filed a criminal record for him and was tortured to accept the charges. As a result of the torture, his spinal cord was damaged and he has become paralyzed.
According to reports, he was falsely charged with murder and rape but with time it was determined that the charges were made because the police were not able to arrest the real culprits and because of public dissatisfaction. (Human Rights Activists in Iran – Aug. 18, 2010)


Political prisoner under torture for more than 90 days

According to reports, political prisoner Reza Sharifi Bukani has been under physical, sexual and mental torture for close to 82 days to give a confession on television.
This 29 year old prisoner who has a degree in the French language was arrested on May 10 in Tehran by agents of the Intelligence Department of the Revolutionary Guards Forces. He was jailed in solitary in the 2A cellblock. Sharifi was physically and mentally tortured in solitary for 22 days. One of the tortures was being placed in a solitary cell for 22 days which was pitch-black both night and day. He was also tortured with electric shocks.
After 22 days, he was taken to a solitary cell in cellblock 209 in Evin Prison and was tortured there by intelligence agents for another 70 days.
Intelligence agents of the RGC tried to force him to ‘confess’ on television to later use against him in court by physically, sexually and mentally torturing him.
Sharifi did not have any visits or any contacts with his family while in solitary in cellblock 2A or 209. His family was not aware of his condition in this time.
Reza Sharifi was a member of the RGC Intelligence Agency who was arrested on charges of having email communications with a Kurd party. He has been charged with espionage and cooperation with political parties.
Sharifi has been transferred to Gohardasht (Rajayi Shahr) Prison and is kept under medieval conditions. (Human Rights and Democracy Activists in Iran – Aug. 20, 2010)


Iran cuts tongue of Kurd political prisoner

Evin Prison interrogators cut the tongue of Kurd political prisoner Matin Arjan who is from the town of Batman in Turkey’s Kurdistan and he is in danger of death in prison. Arjan suffered two brain strokes in the past year in prison and is now paralyzed in both legs. Zaki Arjan, his brother, confirmed this report and said that he has gone to Iran four times to visit his brother.
“Matin is continuously tortured and is kept in solitary most of the time. They have cut his tongue and he has not received treatment and is close to death”, his brother said.
“They asked for 20,000 Euros for my brother’s release but they not only did not release him, they threatened that if I don’t leave Iran, I will be killed”. (Iran Press News – Aug. 20, 2010)

وضعيت بسيار بد جسماني و وخامت حال کيوان صميمي
هشت روز تمام است که تيم پزشکان زندان اوين به کيوان صميمي روزنامه‌نگار دربندي که وارد بيست و دومين روز اعتصاب غذاي خود شده سر نزده و اوضاع جسماني او را کنترل نکرده اند.
بنا به گزارش کلمه، بي‌توجهي پزشکان ناشي از دستور مقامات زندان اوين بويژه صداقت، رييس زندان اوين و بزرگ نيا رييس بند۳۵۰ اين زندان است.
خانواده صميمي به‌شدت نگران سلامت وي هستند و از همه مسوولان قضايي بويژه دادستان تهران درخواست توجه فوري به وضعيت وي را دارند.
کيوان صميمي ،روزنامه‌نگار دربند که در بيست و دومين روز اعتصاب غذاي خود به‌سر مي‌برد وضعيت جسماني بسيار نگران کننده اي دارد.
کيوان صميمي ۶۲ ساله است و با توجه به سنش اين بي‌توجهي مسولان زندان اوين براي سلامتش بسيار خطرناک است. (کلمه – 26/5/89)

استاد کيکبوکسينگ در اثر شکنجه ها فلج شد

حسن آرمين مربي کيکبوکسينگ و از اساتيد رزمي کار کشور داراي سبک در شهرستان قزوين با پرونده سازي پليس جنايي منطقه، بازداشت و براي پذيرش اتهام به شدت مورد شکنجه قرار گرفته و در اثر اين شکنجه از ناحيه نخاع آسيب ديده و فلج شده است.
بنا به اطلاع گزارشگران هرانا، در پرونده سازي پليس جنايي بر عليه اين رزمي کار اتهاماتي چون قتل و تجاوز وجود دارد که با گذشت زمان مشخص شده است که اتهامات انتسابي تنها به دليل عدم توانايي پليس در دستگيري عامل اصلي و نارضايتي عمومي بوده است. (هرانا – 27/5/89)

يک زنداني نزديگ به 92 روز تحت شکنجه هاي غير انساني بازجويان قرار داشت
بنابه گزارشات رسيده به "فعالين حقوق بشر و دمکراسي در ايران" زنداني سياسي رضا شريفي بوکاني نزديگ به 92 روز تحت شکنجه هاي جسمي،جنسي و روحي قرار داشت که او را وادار به مصاحبه تلويزيوني نمايند.
زنداني سياسي رضا شريفي بوکاني 29 ساله و ليسانس زبان فرانسه مي باشد که در تاريخ 20 ارديبهشت ماه با يورش مامورين اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران در تهران دستگير و به سلولهاي انفرادي بند 2- الف سپاه منتقل شد او به مدت 22 روز در سلولهاي انفرادي تحت شکنجه هاي جسمي و روحي قرار داشت.يکي از شکنجه هايي که بازجويان سپاه پاسداران عليه او بکار مي بردند قرار دادن آقاي شريفي به مدت 22 روز درسلول انفرادي که در طي شبانه روز در تاريکي مطلق بسر مي برد.بازجويان سپاه پاسداران همچنين او را با شوک الکتريکي مورد شکنجه قرار مي دادند.
پس از 22 روز او را به سلولهاي انفرادي بند 209 زندان اوين منتقل کردند و شکنجه جسمي و روحي او توسط بازجويان وزارت اطلاعات در آنجا به مدت 70 روز ديگر ادامه يافت.
بازجويان اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران و وزارت اطلاعات با بکار بردن شکنجه هاي جسمي ،جنسي و روحي سعي داشتند که او را وادار به اعتراف در مقابل دوربينهاي تلويزيون نمايند تا عليه وي پرونده سازي کنند واو را به احکام سنگين محکوم کنند.
آقاي شريفي در طي مدتي که در سلولهاي انفرادي بند 2-الف سپاه و بند 209 زندان اوين بسر مي برد هيچگونه ملاقات و ارتباطي با خانواده خود نداشت . خانواده وي از وضعيت و شرايط عزيزشان بي اطلاع بودند.
زنداني رضا شريفي بوکاني از اعضاي اطلاعات سپاه پاسداران بود و به اتهام داشتن ارتباط ايميلي با يکي از احزاب کردي دستگير شده است. بازجويان اطلاعات سپاه و وزارت اطلاعات به او اتهام جاسوسي عليه نظام و همکاري با احزاب سياسي نسبت داده اند.
آقاي شريفي بوکاني چند هفته اي است که به زندان گوهردشت کرج تبعيد شده است و در شرايط قرون وسطائي و غير انساني قرار دارد. (فعالين حقوق بشر ودمكراسي در ايران – 29/5/89)

دژخيمان رژيم زبان زندانى سياسى کرد را بريدند

زبان متين ارجان، زندانى سياسى کرد، اهل شهر باتمان، واقع در کردستان ترکيه، در جريان بازجويى ها توسط بازجويان زندان اوين در تهران بريده شده است و نامبرده هم‌ اينک در معرض خطر مرگ قرار دارد. ارجان طى يک سال گدشته دو بار دچار سکته مغزى شده و بدنبال آن از ناحيه هر دو پا فلج شده است. زکى ارجان، برادر متين ضمن تاييد اين خبر گفت، تا به حال ۴ بار به ايران رفته ام و برادرم را ملاقات کرده ‌ام، متين به طور مداوم تحت شکنجه قرار مى گيرد و بيشتر اوقات در سلول انفرادى بسر مى برد. زبان متين را بريده ‌اند، تحت مداوا قرار ندارد و با مرگ دست و پنجه نرم مى کند. از من مبلغ ۲۰ هزار يورو (حدود 27 ميليون تومان) براي آزادي برادرم پول گرفتند اما نه تنها او را آزاد نکردند بلکه خود من را هم تهديد کردند که اگر ايران را ترک نکنم، با مرگ روبرو خواهم شد.
