Political prisoner returned to prison despite critical condition

Hamzeh Karami a prisoner who was arrested after the elections and was recently released from the hospital because of heart problems was once again returned to Evin Prison on orders of the Tehran Prosecutor despite doctor’s orders that he has to be under treatment and in an environment away from stress and pressure. Doctors have prescribed that he receives an angiography as soon as possible.
His family is seriously concerned for his health.
Karami is the head the Jomhouriat Website and a top manager of the Free University. He was sentenced to 11 years of prison and a permanent discharge from all government occupations.
Websites recently published reports of a letter that he wrote from prison saying that he was severely tortured in prison by his interrogators. He wrote in this letter that confessions were extracted from him under torture

حمزه کرمي عليرغم نظر پزشکان متخصص به اوين بازگردانده شد

حمزه کرمي ،از زندانيان حوادث پس از انتخابات که به دليل عارضه قلبي و عوارض ناشي از آن در بخش CCU بستري و به تازگي مرخص شده بود ،عصر امروز چهارشنبه به دستور دادستان تهران و عليرغم نظر پزشکان متخصص و پزشکي قانوني مبني بر ضرورت ادامه معالجات در محيطي به دور از فشار و استرس ، به اوين بازگردانده شد . اين در حالي است که پزشکان عمل آنژيوگرافي را براي وي در اسرع وقت تجويز کرده بودند .
به گزارش خبرنگار کلمه، خانواده وي باتوجه به وضعيت نامطلوب جسمي اش ، به شدت نگران سلامت او هستند .
حمزه کرمي، مدير سايت جمهوريت و از مديران ارشد دانشگاه آزاد اسلامي است.. كه به ۱۱ سال حبس قطعي و انفصال دائم از خدمات دولتي محکوم شد.
به تازگي برخي از سايت ها بخش هايي از نامه منتسب به او را منتشر کردند که خبر از شکنجه شديد ش در دوران تحت بازجويي مي داد .وي در اين نامه نوشته بود اعترافات او زير شکنجه از او اخذ شده است. (كلمه – 21/5/89)
