Peaceful protester sentenced to 6 years of prison and 74 lashes

Arash Nouri who was convicted of (participating) in post election events was sentenced to 6 years and 74 lashes.
Judge Pir Abbasi, who is in charge of the 26th branch of the Revolutionary Court in Tehran, issued this verdict with disregard for his defense in court. He was sentenced to 5 years for assembling and conspiring, and 1 year of prison and 74 lashes for disrupting public order.
Nouri was arrested on February 8, 2010 after 8 RGC intelligence agents raided his home. After conducting a search and confiscating many of his personal belongings, they transferred him to cellblock 2A run by the RGC Intelligence Agency.
He was released on bail on March 17. This protester is a graduate of Amir Kabir University in Tehran.




صدور حکم سنگين براي يکي از متهمان حوادث انتخابات
آرش نوري از متهمان حوادث پس از انتخابات از طرف شعبه‌ي ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب به ۶ سال حبس تعزيري و ۷۴ ضربه شلاق محکوم شد.
قاضي پيرعباسي قاضي شعبه ۲۶ دادگاه انقلاب بدون توجه به دفاعيات متهم ايشان را به ۶ سال حبس تعزيري و ۷۴ ضربه شلاق محکوم کردند که ۵ سال آن براي اجتماع و تباني (ماده ۶۱۰) و ۱ سال و ۷۴ ضربه شلاق براي اخلال در نظم (ماده ۶۱۸) است.
آرش نوري در تاريخ ۱۹ بهمن در پي يورش ۸ تن از نيروهاي اطلاعات سپاه به منزل دستگير و بعد از تفتيش منزل و ضبط بسياري از وسايل ايشان به بند ۲-الف اطلاعات سپاه در زندان اوين منتقل شد.
نوري در تاريخ ۲۶ اسفند به قرار وثيغه آزاد شد. وي فارغ التحصيل رشته مهندسي پليمر از دانشگاه اميرکبير است. (رهانا – 12/3/89)
