Two Kurd student activists disappear in Tehran

There is no news on the condition of two Kurd students by the names of Amjad (Hajir) Kurdnejad and Jamal Rahmati and there are speculations that these students who study at the School of Social Sciences in Tehran University have been abducted by security forces.
Their friends say that they were last seen at 7pm on Monday around the Valiasr Intersection in Tehran and disappeared after that.
Security institutions, including the Security Police and the Intelligence Agency, have not taken responsibility for their arrest. Amjad (Hajir) Kurdnejad was also arrested on December 3, 2009, raising the probability of his arrest. He was sentenced to 2 years of prison on charges of ‘acting against national security and participating in the seditions after presidential elections’.

احتمال بازداشت مجدد امجد کردنژاد و جمال رحمتي
در دو روز اخير از وضعيت و سرنوشت دو دانشجوي کرد دانشگاه تهران به نام‌هاي امجد (هژير) کردنژاد و جمال رحمتي خبري در دست نيست و گمانه زني‌ها حاکي از ربايش اين دو دانشجوي دانشکده علوم اجتماعي دانشگاه تهران توسط نهاد هاي امنيتي است.
دوستان اين دو دانشجو مي‌گويند اين دو تن آخرين بار ساعت ۱۹ روز دوشنبه حوالي ميدان وليعصر تهران مشاهده شده‌اند و بعد از آن ديگر از آنان خبري در دست نيست.
هيچ‌کدام از نهاد‌هاي امنيتي از جمله پليس امنيت و وزارت اطلاعات تاکنون بازداشت اين دو دانشجو را به عهده نگرفته‌اند.
لازم به ذکر است امجد(هژير) کردنژاد در ۱۲ آذر ماه سال گذشته نيز بازداشت شده بود و اين مساله بازداشت دوباره‌ي وي را تقويت مي‌کند.
کردنژاد به اتهام اقدام عليه امنيت ملي و شرکت در اغتشاشات پس از انتخابات رياست جمهوري به ۲ سال زندان تعزيري محکوم شده است. (رهانا – 12/3/89)
