Rasoul Badaghi Severely Beaten & Abused in Rajai Shahr Prison

Rasoul Badaghi, political activist and a member of the board of director’s of the Teachers Guild who is detained in ward 6 of Rajai Shahr, was severely beaten and abused by prison officials on May 29, 2010.

Yesterday, two Rajai Shahr prison officials named Mostar Sheikh and Daei Ghasem, took Rasul Badaghi to a location in the prison, tied his hands from the back, attached him to an execution pole, and began beating him severely. The reason for this inhumane treatment was Badaghi’s complaint to prison officials regarding the unacceptable conditions at Rajai Shahr and the problems he had been facing.

According to Advar News, the inhumane and cruel treatment of this imprisoned teacher led to protests by other prisoners at Rajai Shahr who claimed that Badaghi is a political prisoner and as such should not be subjected to such cruel and inhumane punishment. Prison officials responded to the complaints by shouting out obscenities and pushing the prisoners to disperse the protests. Prison officials then announced, “Since this individual is a political prisoner, he should be subjected to even more torture and punishment.”

It is worth mentioning that Badaghi’s physical well-being has been compromised and he remains in critical condition as a result of the severe beatings.

ضرب و شتم رسول بداغی در زندان رجایی شهر

رسول بداغی فعال سیاسی و عضو کانون صنفی معلمان که در بند شش زندان رجایی شهر در بازداشت به سر می برد روز گذشته مورد ضرب و شتم شدید مسئولان زندان قرار گرفت.

رهانا: روز گذشته دو تن از مسئولان زندان رجایی شهر به نامهای مستعار شیخ و دایی قاسم ، رسول بداغی، را به محلی از زندان برده، دستهای او را از پشت بسته و پس از بستن وی به میله اقدام به ضرب و شتم شدید وی نمودند. علت این اقدام ناجوانمردانه مسئولان زندان اعتراض بداغی، به وضعیت نا مناسب زندان رجایی شهر و مشکلات ایجاد شده برای وی بوده است.

به گزارش سایت ادوار نیوز، رفتار بی رحمانه مسئولان زندان در ضرب و شتم این معلم زندانی، موجب اعتراض دیگر زندانیان شده و آنها با اعلام اینکه نامبرده زندانی سیاسی است و نباید اینگونه مورد هتک حرمت و آزار قرار گیرد به رفتار مسئولان زندان معترض شدند.

متاسفانه عوامل این ضرب و شتم در پاسخ به اعتراض زندانیان با هل دادن و فحاشی اقدام به متفرق نمودن آنها کرده و در کمال ناباوری اعلام نمودند : از آنجا که این فرد سیاسی است باید مورد آزار و شکنجه بیشتری قرار گیرد.

گفتنی است وضعیت نامبرده هم اکنون نامساعد است و اثرات ناشی از شدت ضرب و شتم سلامتی وی را تهدید می کند
